“On these memorable days, we gather together, show our solidarity,” said Dilbar Sultanova, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of KNRTU, in her greeting. – Human values are eternal – people all over the world have always valued peace, mutual understanding, progressive development. I wish you the warmth of communication, so that you remember this event for many years, so that you tell in your homeland how the Victory Days are celebrated in Russia, how friendly, sincere and honest your friends, colleagues, teachers - all your surroundings!”
The participants were also greeted by a professor, a resident of the besieged Leningrad, William Barabanov: “These days are passing in constant memories of the difficult war years, of our great Victory. The Great Patriotic War ended 77 years ago - several generations have already grown up, and we are widely celebrating this day, because thanks to the Victory, our country secured its future.” William Petrovich remembered the contribution of our university to the victory, about those who died on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War and who returned to the institute, contributed to its development.
“Currently, attempts are being made to belittle the liberating role of the Soviet Union in World War II and the Great Patriotic War, and it was our Red Army that liberated Europe from fascism,” Andrey Vasiliev, Dean of the FMOP, noted in his greeting. “Therefore, the current young generation of foreign citizens, especially from countries geographically distant from us, being under the influence of fake information, often cannot assess historical facts and modern events, so the point of our events is to give a correct assessment.” The dean thanked the staff of the RFL department and the dean's office, the Commonwealth of Foreign Students of KNRTU and the Department of Youth Policy and Social Work of the university.
A high emotional bar was taken from the very beginning: after a minute of silence and words of welcome, Konstantin Simonov's poem "Wait for me" was performed by Nathanael Nyirenda from Zambia. The beautiful chamber voice and guitar playing of his countryman Caleb Mwelva perfectly conveyed the subtle lyrics of the song "Dark Night". The lyrical note was continued by Lounes Miradi from Algeria with a piano performance of Beethoven's "Fur Elise".
Foreign students from different countries read poems about the tragedy of war, the eternal memory of the feat of heroes, and veterans. No one was left indifferent to the soul-tearing performance of Robert Rozhdestvensky's poem "Requiem" by FSTS student Yana Utkina and the song "The Month of May" by FAA student Angelina Proshchekalnikova. Sincerely and unanimously, a group of foreign students sang the world-famous song "Smuglyanka". And the girls-dancers from the group "Shahnaz" performed an incendiary dance with the same name.
As a symbol of the unity of representatives of different nations, a poem by Gabdulla Tukay was performed by Hamza Larusi from Algeria and Shikamikami Imakando from Zambia. Everyone liked the expressive reading of poems about the Victory and May 9 by Cubans Aylen Valdez Cantero and Aniurka Maria Panfet Aulan.
A well-thought-out script, text liners superbly performed by host Ruslan Baldin, video intros for each song, stands with students' posters - all this made each performance expressive and unique.
The veterans, teachers and students, representatives of the trade union committee who came to the concert were truly touched by the sincerity and emotionality of foreign students. Each number was accompanied by a storm of applause from the audience.
Our country loves and appreciates the culture and music of other peoples, so the audience also accepted the uplifting Arabic song “Emsik fe helmek”, which means “Be true to your dream”, performed by students from Egypt and Algeria.
He captured the whole hall, filled with pride for our immense "Rasseya" dance "From the Volga to the Yenisei" from the team eMotion.
The concert ended with an incendiary "Katyusha" performed by a large group of foreign students, after which all the children were happy to take pictures with their favorite teachers, receive well-deserved diplomas and gifts.
