In the assembly hall of the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies, a solemn commencement took place for the graduates of the Stratigraphy of Oil and Gas Basins Master’s program. This double degree program between KFU and the Freiberg Mining Academy (Germany) has been implemented since 2014. Its goal is to teach students how to independently reconstruct and model the geological media of oil and gas basins. Read more:

On 7th of February, Representatives of Cuba’s largest oil company CUPET, Mario Miranda Marquez and Tania Perez Delgado visited the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies of Kazan Federal University. The visit was organized by the Center for Advanced Training, Quality Management and Marketing (CdoGEO), which leads the expansion of cooperation between the IGPT KFU and the Cuban oil company. On October 25, the training began at the Center for Advanced, Quality Management and Marketing (CdoGEO) of the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies of the Kazan Federal University for students on the advanced training programs “Hydrate Technologies for Transportation and Storage of Hydrocarbons and Separation of Gas Mixtures” and “Topical Issues of Geological Modeling”. The course is attended by employees of OOO LUKOIL-Engineering, OOO LUKOIL-Western Siberia, Sakhalin Energy Investment Company Ltd. On October 11, at the Center for Advanced Training, Quality Management and Marketing (CdoGEO) of the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies of the Kazan Federal University, training began on the following five advanced training programs: “Application of global navigation satellite systems (GLONASS/GPS) in geodesy, mapping and navigation”, “Modern well logging methods”, “Geosteering support while drilling”, “Well logging”, “Modern geophysical and geodetic methods and technologies for conducting seismic surveys.”

Ildus Chukmarov introduced new training and professional retraining programs developed within the World-Class Research Center (WCRC), and invited course attendees to undergo training in any convenient format
