Star Wars-themed Open House Day at MEPhI⚡️

📌Today, MEPhI hosted a traditional Open House Day from 11:00 to 16:00, which was themed in the Star Wars style this year. This event brought together prospective students and their parents who wanted to learn more about the educational opportunities and scientific research.

🔎The program for young Jedi was full of exciting activities! Participants were able to attend a briefing from the Council, where representatives of the Admissions Committee spoke about the admission process. In addition, a live connection with mentors was organized, where participants could ask questions to representatives from the institutions. Participants got acquainted with student associations and learned about the power of the community, and also took part in Force training: quizzes, workshops and tours of the Alliance base ✨

🧪For those who wanted to become a real Master Yoda, a special program was offered. Participants had to collect all the admission access codes by visiting the strategic command centers of the institutes on the first and second floors of the library. As a result, they received a clear admission plan, answers to their questions, and an understanding of their chances.

📸 Those who were eager for discovery were offered the Path of the Researcher. Participants could experience the Power of Science and see everything firsthand by signing up for special missions around NRC MEPhI and attending the scientific lecture "Challenges of the Future". This provided an opportunity to try oneself as a scientist and to see the unique equipment that researchers work with 👨‍🏫

💰The Alliance Hero Path was opened for adventurers. Participants were able to become the soul of the Alliance, find new friends and win prizes by participating in tactical games and career missions organized by institutes and student communities.

📌The Educational and Scientific Centre presented not only JINR, but also the basic departments for young researchers. At the stand, Vladimir Galustov (FLnP) and Grigory Tkachev (LHEP) were ready to answer all your questions💬

Results of the 29th International Conference AYSS-2025⚡️

📌On October 31, the 29th International Scientific Conference AYSS-2025, organized by the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, was held at the United Institute for Nuclear Research. This event brought together more than 160 young scientists and specialists from different parts of the world, becoming a true celebration of science and knowledge exchange.

📌Over the course of five days, participants from Russia, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Serbia, Tunisia, and South Africa had the unique opportunity to listen to lectures by leading scientists from the Institute, share their research results, and discuss current issues in the field of science. The conference served as a platform for new ideas and inspiration, where young minds could showcase their talents. 🧠

🔎 This year, the AYSS-2025 program committee updated the thematic content of the sections, making it more relevant and aligned with the research areas of the Joint Institute. Participants presented their reports in sections such as:
➖theoretical physics
➖particle physics
➖nuclear physics
➖condensed matter physics
➖accelerator technologies and neutron sources
➖information technologies
➖applied innovation activities
➖radiobiological research in the life sciences

This allowed everyone to find their niche and contribute to the discussion of the most important scientific issues. 💬

🧬 AYSS-2025 not only strengthened international ties, but also inspired young scientists to continue their research and discoveries. We are confident that such events contribute to the development of science and the formation of a new generation of researchers.

The results of JINR's participation in the NAUKA 0+ 2025 Festival have been summed up⚡️

📌 This year, for the first time, JINR was exhibited at 3 venues: the Fundamental Library of Moscow State University, Zaryadye Park, and now at MEPHI.
All three popular science exhibitions attracted more than 8,000 visitors during the two days of the Festival. This is a 30% increase compared to previous years. Among the visitors to the venues were scientists, students, and school teachers who were already familiar with JINR, as well as a wide audience of curious children and adults.

📌 At the JINR booth, young scientists from the laboratories of high-energy physics, nuclear reactions, nuclear problems, radiobiology, neutron physics, and information technology were working! In the lecture halls, lectures were given by Alexandra Friesen (Laboratory of Theoretical Physics) and Olga Vinogradova (Laboratory of Radiation Biology at JINR) 🤓

🖥 The main theme of the 2026 festival, "Your Quantum Universe," aligns with the UN's declared International Year of Quantum Science and Technology. Quantum theory has led scientists and philosophers to reevaluate the nature of matter, the behavior of particles and waves, opening the door to the realm of probabilities, extraordinary correlations, and unexpected connections.

🧪 The NAUKA 0+ 2025 festival became a celebration of science, bringing together people of all ages and backgrounds in pursuit of knowledge and inspiration. JINR's participation at the three venues not only drew attention to the achievements in physics and technology, but also provided a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the world of quantum mysteries and discoveries. We hope that this experience will inspire a new generation of scientists and researchers who are ready to uncover the secrets of the universe ✨

SCIENCE0+ Festival in Kamchatka State University was organized by the JINR Infocentre of the Kamchatka State university and the JINR University Centre for students and schoolchildren to show the newest scientific achievements. ⚡️

From September 22 to September 28, Kamchatka became a real laboratory of ideas and inspiration, when on the basis of Kamchatka State University named after Vitus Bering launched the All-Russian SCIENCE0+ Festival. This is an event organized by the JINR Information Centre with the involvement of teachers and students of KamSU. Vitus Bering, with the support of the JINR Center, opened its doors at Kamchatka University for the first time for young researchers and science enthusiasts.

The purpose of the festival is to awaken the interest of schoolchildren and first-year students in science and to show the opportunities that KAMGU opens up. This year, about 350 participants, including schoolchildren, teachers, and students, plunged into the fascinating world of scientific discoveries 🔎

The program of the event was rich and diverse: excursions to the university's modern laboratories, exciting blitz quizzes, physics and chemistry experiments, fascinating lectures, and even quests - all of this created an atmosphere of a real scientific celebration. The workshops on robotics, pedagogy, particle detection, anthropogenic dynamics of ecosystems in Kamchatka, and the creation of creams at the Laboratory of Biogeochemistry and Recreational Resources were particularly memorable.

The interactive part of the program also left no one indifferent: the quiz on chemistry, physics, and radiobiology, as well as the workshops on particle detection, evoked a storm of emotions among the participants. And the "breakfast with scientists", where students from Gymnasiums No. 21 and No. 46 were able to ask questions to the head of the JINR Information Center about the work of inclinometers and the life of scientists in Kamchatka, became a real highlight of the event 🔥

The NAUKA 0+ festival in Kamchatka not only introduced young people to advanced scientific achievements, but also gave them the opportunity to touch the magic of science, inspiring them to new discoveries and achievements!
