The Carefree Angel - 2. We care!

Two world records in the AX-1 class and updated national results!

📆 On January 24, 2025 Russian Champion and national altitude record holder in the women's category, Victoria Arshava, successfully surpassed the nearly 19-year-old results of Irishwoman Pauline Baker (distance: 6.59 km; duration: 1 hour 40 minutes).

📋 In the AX-1 class (up to 250 m³), ​​women had never set a national record in Russia, so Victoria's world attempt naturally became a Russian record.

Duration: 2 hours 35 minutes*. Distance: over 11 km*.

📆 A day later, on January 25, the highly experienced Sergei Statkevich, who led the January record-breaking expedition, also broke world records.

His own distance record in the AX-1 class is 68.47 km (February 28, 2018) and the Swiss Pierrick Duvoisin's flight duration record of 6 hours, 20 minutes, 38 seconds (December 19, 2007).

📋 The world records stood. However, Sergey broke his own Russian flight duration record (3 hours, 35 minutes) (approximately 5 hours*); the distance covered was approximately 36 km.
