English Access Abakan

Abakan English ACCESS students presented the May 1st cards and told the history of this holiday. Then they played a board game “What is your favorite...?”

On April 23 and 27 Abakan English Access had online classes. They told about their Zodiac signs and discussed the adjectives describing appearance. Unfortunately, the technical problems still exist.

Abakan English Access had an online class on April 16, 2020. They discussed the vocabulary describing people’s characteristic features in order to speak about signs of Zodiac. Interesting material is published on http://real-english.com site which has listening, reading and speaking Exercises. There were the problems with time, sound, and other technical problems.

On 09.04.2020 Abakan English ACCESS had the first class on the ZOOM platform. The students had some problems with cameras. The next session will be on April 16, 2020. We’ll discuss food idioms and do some excercises.

On February 27, 2020 Abakan English Access students reviewed irregular verbs, Simple Past and Past Continuous tenses through games. They had a lot of fun working in groups, pairs and individually.

Abakan English Access students had several classes about American Presidents. On February 20, 2020 they had a class based on President’s bios. They worked in groups and individually, read the texts and watches videos. They liked songs about the American Presidents. Now they know some facts about The most known American Presidents.

On February 13, 2020 Abakan English Access students discussed and did activities based on the St. Valentine Day. They worked individually and in groups making up their own stories, watched a video about the history of the holiday and created their own Valentine cards. They learned new words.

On January 20,2020 Abakan English Access Students discussed the holiday 'Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.' They watched the presentation, read the text, and listened to MLK’s speech. Then they discussed the civil rights problem in the USA and Russia. The majority of the students didn’t know about this holiday, and it was a good chance for them to learn something new.

Abakan English Access students had a Christmas party on December 25,2019. They created a Christmas tree toys, played games, and sang songs.

On November 28, 2019 Abakan English Access students had a class of Thanksgiving. They learned about the history of this day in the USA watching video and reading stories. Then they created Thanksgiving cards for Eric Wilhelm and Aidan Miller Fulbright ETA who taught them English the previous term.
