10 years ago today Hannah Nydahl left for the pure lands. Deeply respected for her work, devotion and accomplishments as a Buddhist practitioner, her life was dedicated to establishing Diamond Way Buddhism in the West and protecting the Karma Kagyu Lineage. Her wisdom, kindness and compassion is timeless, beyond coming and going, and continuously blesses our work and practice.

Kedves Barátok!

Sajnos, mint tudjátok nem túl kedvezőek a feltételek most a közös gyakorlásra.

Inner Wealth is within each and every one of you. In my few years of travel around the world, and the people I have met, I can see that year by year there is a growing unrest due to a lack of Material Wealth. But I have also seen instances of happiness, joy in the face of material poverty, even when people cannot feed their own children. How is this possible? Why are they still able to express contentment? When I ask myself this question ‘why?’, I can see that it is because of their spiritual practice or due to their cultivation of compassion and wisdom. In some ways, it becomes their hero, their saviour. I believe your Inner Wealth can become your hero too.

As practitioners, we can train ourselves to try and recognise the harmful consequences of letting afflictive emotions, such as anger, fester.

In life, it is normal to experience misunderstandings and doubtful feelings. When those experiences arise, we must not try to cover them up or suppress them – they are unstoppable. And so when they arise, we should let them rise on their own, and then let them fall on their own.

The more we try to resist emotions and prevent them from arising, the worse they get - they fester. It is this aspect of postponing emotions that causes real anxiety, and as a result one could ruminate more and more, and this then has the potential to transform into something violent.

In this situation, people may even use the name of religion, philosophy, science or even race to justify acting on those emotions. Therefore, we must find the courage to let our emotions rise and fall naturally, just as a storm rises and sets on its own. For a storm never acts with an agenda or intention.
