We listened to their excitement, happiness, pride, and hopes for a new beginning — in their own words.

💙 And today, the day we have been waiting for finally arrived…

Yesterday, our corridors were quiet. Today, they are filled once again with the voices and laughter of our students. Our classrooms have come back to life, and our school is once again full of excitement, reunions, and new beginnings.

Today marks the beginning of the 2026–2027 Academic Year at International Maarif Schools of Bucharest.

And we did not celebrate this special first day alone.

We were honored to welcome H.E. Özgür Kıvanç Altan, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Bucharest, together with distinguished representatives of public institutions, civil society organizations, and the education community, including TİAD, Yunus Emre Institute, and ROYAD.

Yet, the true heart of today was, as always, our students. 💙

Today, we opened the first page of a new chapter filled with new friendships, new dreams, discoveries, achievements, and memories yet to be made.

Because when the doors of a school open, it is not only a new academic year that begins.

New stories begin.
New hopes grow.
New futures take shape.

A Strong School Starts with a Strong Team 💙

Our intensive preparation period for the new academic year is officially complete! On Friday, we came together in our school garden as the Maarif Team to celebrate the hard work, dedication, and teamwork that brought us to this point.

Over tantuni, ayran, and dessert, we shared the same table, enjoyed good conversations, and took a well-deserved moment together before the new school year begins. 🌿

Because a strong school starts with a happy team that works together, supports one another, and moves forward with the same purpose.

We believe that a happy team builds a happy school — and a happy school creates the best environment for happy children to learn, grow, and thrive. 💙
