Join the 3rd edition of the 4-day professional program, during the 21st Thessaloniki Book Fair (8-11 May 2025), offering to the participants the opportunity to meet the Greek book publishing world. The aim is to create a networking forum for publishers, editors, license officers, and literary agents from all over the world.

Durata modului: 32 de ore/ 16 cursuri
Taxă: 700 RON

Module:
O grupă A1 (începători) / luni și miercuri, de la ora 18:00
O grupă de nivel mediu
O grupă de nivel avansat

Cursurile – cu o durată de două ore, cu pauză – se vor desfășura seara, după ora 18:00.

Etapele înscrierii:

Solicitarea prin e-mail ([email protected]) a Formularului de înscriere.
Completarea formularului și trimiterea acestuia, în termen de o zi de la primire, la adresa de e-mail [email protected], cu subiectul: „Înscriere curs + numele solicitantului”.
Plata taxei de curs (700RON) și trimiterea dovezii plății, în termen de 48 de ore de la trimiterea formularului, la adresa de e-mail de mai sus, cu subiectul: „Dovadă plată + numele solicitantului”.
NOTĂ: În cazul în care nu se va face dovada plății în 48 ore, se pierde locul reținut în urma trimiterii formularului completat.

Înscrierile se fac în limita locurilor disponibile pentru o grupă și în ordinea primirii formularelor de înscriere confirmate de dovada plății.

: 6 different ways to write an “i"
Learning how to read in Greek is straightforward, since you pronounce what is written. However, writing is a different story, as there are 6 ways to write the sound [i]: ι, η, υ, ει, οι and υι. What is more, there are 2 ways to write the [o] sound, namely ο and ω, and 2 ways to write the [e] sound: ε and αι.
What foreigners also sometimes find puzzling is that there are no letters for the sounds [b], [d] and [g] which instead are written with the double consonants μπ (mp), ντ (nt) and γκ (gk).
All these quirks have to do with the fact that Greek has a very long written tradition. The value of many letters changed over time, but attempts to modernise the orthography have been met with fierce opposition and even had a prominent philologist convicted in the infamous “trial of the accent marks”. Despite resistance to change, the 3 different accent marks ( ´ , ῀ and `) used until the 70s have been replaced by one single accent mark.
