Learning how to physically play the violin is only a part of what students learn during their online violin lessons. Ear and rhythm training and music theory are two other vital components which we focus on in order to encourage musicianship and creativity.

When I look back at my almost 24 year long musical journey, I remind myself that learning takes time and it's not a linear path. Playing the violin teaches us to love what we do, to have fun whilst improving and to enjoy the achievements from the present moment.

Thank you to my first violin teacher who made playing the violin feel colorful, vibrant and fun!

Learning to play the violin challenges us cognitively, physically and emotionally and it helps us slowly improve in all 3 areas. Often we also experience flow and joy which improves our self confidence and therefore our well-being as well.

In the 10 months Ady has been taking online violin lessons she has improved her precision and her vibrato and she has been practicing laughing and not taking things too personally when something doesn't go according to plan.

Playing the violin is partly about believing in oneself. One must believe to play and to improve and playing the violin gives in return a great sense of accomplishment which booms one's confidence. I enjoy observing how students thrive and grow during this fascinating journey!

This is me playing a duet with a classmate aged perhaps 8, maybe only a few months into my musical journey. We all start somewhere and every step is very important and cannot be skipped. I love how I was smiling.

Enjoying our learning journey is key and creating a safe and relaxed environment in lessons is a priority. Emma has found a balance between being disciplined to practice between lessons and having fun whilst playing, and in less than 10 months she already plays longer songs with confidence.

Learning to play the violin is a marathon, not a short run. Many obstacles appear along the way, so flexibility and adaptability are key and the only thing that truly matters is helping students achieve their potential and goals.

Noah started online violin lessons together with his twin brother almost 2 years ago and we have been exploring both solo violin Classical pieces and duets. We are working on getting accustomed to using the whole bow (and not only the upper half of it) for more freedom in sound and in movement.

Each student has their unique journey and as the teacher I enjoy guiding them gently in their learning process and making sure they enjoy every moment.
