Rezultatele unui studiu de tip experiment, publicat în revista științifică „Nature” arată că intervenția online cu abordarea „growth mindset”, pe o perioadă scurtă de timp, poate îmbunătăți rezultatele elevilor și poate crește disponibilitatea acestora de a se înscrie la cursuri de matematică avansată.
Experimentul s-a realizat pe 12 000 de elevi de cls. a IX-a, din 65 de școli din USA.
Prin „growth mindset” elevii sunt încurajați să creadă că inteligența se poate dezvoltată prin efort și dedicare.

A US national experiment showed that a short, online, self-administered growth mindset intervention can increase adolescents’ grades and advanced course-taking, and identified the types of school that were poised to benefit the most.
