☀️ Încă un an școlar extraordinar se încheie și ce an a fost!

De la premiile I obținute de elevii noștri în trei categorii ale competiției COBIS Art Competition, la organizarea BIST Annual Art Exhibition și punerea în scenă a celui mai spectaculos musical de până acum, The Wizard of Oz, anul acesta a fost plin de momente care ne-au făcut mândri.

🎓 Am sărbătorit cea de-a treia generație de absolvenți BIST, am oferit pentru prima dată BIST Annual Awards, prin care am recunoscut realizările remarcabile ale unor elevi care au reprezentat școala cu excelență, iar Ursa a câștigat House Cup. 🐻💛

🌍 Unul dintre absolvenții noștri va reprezenta România la International Economics Olympiad 2026, iar BIST a devenit oficial COBIS Training School, o nouă confirmare a angajamentului nostru pentru excelență în educație.

Le mulțumim elevilor, profesorilor și părinților pentru că au făcut acest an memorabil. Vă dorim tuturor o vacanță de vară frumoasă! ☀️🌿

☀️ Another incredible school year comes to an end, and what a year it has been!

From our students winning 1st place in three categories at the COBIS Art Competition, to hosting the BIST Annual Art Exhibition and staging our most ambitious musical production yet, The Wizard of Oz, this year was filled with moments that made us proud.

🎓 We celebrated our third cohort of BIST graduates, introduced the very first BIST Annual Awards to recognise students who have represented our school with exceptional distinction, and watched Ursa lift this year’s House Cup. 🐻💛

🌍 One of our graduates will represent Romania at the International Economics Olympiad 2026, while BIST officially became a COBIS Training School, another milestone that reflects our commitment to educational excellence.

To our students, staff, and families: thank you for making this year so memorable. We wish you all a relaxing and well-deserved summer break! ☀️🌿

Unele evenimente marchează sfârșitul unui capitol. Altele deschid zeci de uși. 🎓

Ceremonia de absolvire a Promoției 2026 a celebrat parcursul extraordinar al elevilor noștri. Am avut onoarea de a-i avea alături pe Principele Nicolae al României și pe Colin Bell, CEO COBIS, a căror prezență a subliniat importanța acestui moment pentru întreaga comunitate BIST.

The Class of 2026 Graduation Ceremony was a celebration of the remarkable journey of our students. We were honoured to welcome HRH Prince Nicolae of Romania and Colin Bell, CEO of COBIS, whose presence highlighted the significance of this milestone for the entire BIST community.

Robert, a fost selectat în lotul național al României pentru 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐎𝐥𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐚𝐝 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, care va avea loc în această vară la Shenzhen, China.

Este o realizare extraordinară și o recunoaștere a anilor de muncă, pasiune și performanță în domeniul economiei și finanțelor. Robert se numără printre cei cinci elevi care vor reprezenta România pe scena internațională.

Iar performanțele sale nu se opresc aici. Robert a fost selectat să reprezinte România și la International Business and Finance Olympiad (IBFO) 2026, confirmând încă o dată nivelul excepțional pe care l-a atins în acest domeniu.

Pentru noi, aceasta este o bucurie dublă: să ne vedem elevul ajungând în elita competițiilor internaționale și să știm că își încheie parcursul la British International School of Timisoara cu o asemenea realizare.

Robert, has been selected for Romania's national team for the 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐎𝐥𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐚𝐝 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, which will take place this summer in Shenzhen, China.

It is an outstanding achievement and recognition of years of hard work, passion, and excellence in economics and finance. Robert is one of only five students selected to represent Romania on the international stage.

And the achievement does not stop there. Robert has also been selected to represent Romania at the International Business and Finance Olympiad (IBFO) 2026, further highlighting the exceptional level he has reached in his field.

For us, this is a proud moment: seeing our student reach the highest level of international competition and close this academic chapter with such an accomplishment.

🖼 Vernisajul BIST Annual Art Exhibition a fost un real succes și ne-a oferit încă o dată ocazia de a celebra creativitatea elevilor noștri.

A fost o bucurie să vedem lucrările lor admirate de părinți, profesori, colegi și membrii comunității. De la pictură și desen, la fotografie, grafică, arhitectură, colaj, mixed media și explorări textile, elevii noștri continuă să își dezvolte talentul și să își exprime ideile în moduri din ce în ce mai originale.

Ne-am bucurat, de asemenea, să îl avem ca invitat special pe absolventul BIST David Kohn, a cărui expoziție de fotografie a impresionat prin emoție și profunzime.

🖼 The opening night of the BIST Annual Art Exhibition was a great success and another wonderful opportunity to celebrate the creativity of our students.

It was a pleasure to see their work admired by parents, teachers, classmates, and members of the wider community. From painting and drawing to photography, graphic design, architecture, collage, mixed media, and textile explorations, our students continue to develop their talent and express their ideas in increasingly original ways.

We were also delighted to welcome BIST alumnus David Kohn as a special guest, whose photography exhibition stood out for its emotion and depth.

❤️ Congratulations to our talented students and to our Art teachers, Ms. Mocuta and Ms. Andrei, who continue to support and inspire creative thinking every day.

Două proiecte. Două probleme reale. Două echipe de elevi BIST premiate la nivel național. 🚀

De la prevenirea dependențelor în rândul adolescenților până la monitorizarea calității aerului din locuințe, elevii noștri au demonstrat că antreprenoriatul înseamnă mai mult decât idei bune - înseamnă soluții care pot avea un impact real în comunitate.

Proiectul NeuroShift a câștigat competiția Entrepreneurship Challenge organizată de British School of Bucharest, iar proiectul Home Health Ledger a fost premiat în cadrul competiției „Vreau să fiu antreprenor”, organizată de Romanian Business Leaders.

Pentru noi, acesta este unul dintre cele mai frumoase exemple de educație aplicată.

Two projects. Two real-world challenges. Two BIST student teams recognised at national level. 🚀

From tackling adolescent addiction prevention to improving air quality monitoring in homes, our students have shown that entrepreneurship is about more than great ideas - it is about creating solutions with real impact.

The NeuroShift project won the Entrepreneurship Challenge organised by the British School of Bucharest, while Home Health Ledger was recognised in the "I Want to Be an Entrepreneur" competition organised by Romanian Business Leaders.

For us, this is one of the best examples of education brought to life.

Alături de târgul de carte organizat de Moonwood, am avut bucuria de a-i avea alături pe Elize Wilk, Horia Corcheș, Gabriela Glăvan, precum și pe Oana Dobosi și Raluca Selejan de la La Două Bufnițe.

Book Week ne-a reamintit că lectura nu înseamnă doar cărți.

What do an author, a murder mystery newspaper, a workshop on how to create a book, and hundreds of curious students have in common?

Book Week at BIST 📚✨

Our students did much more than read books. They discovered the people, ideas, and creative process behind them. They met authors, joined workshops, asked questions, and explored what it takes to bring a story to life.

Alongside the Moonwood Book Fair, we were delighted to welcome Elize Wilk, Horia Corcheș, Gabriela Glăvan, as well as Oana Dobosi and Raluca Selejan from La Două Bufniţe.

Book Week reminded us that reading is not just about books.

🌍 IB Core Annual Gala este, fără îndoială, cel mai important eveniment-fanion din cadrul programului nostru de Bacalaureat Internațional (IB).

✨️ Acest eveniment este dedicat celor 3 componente care definesc cu adevărat experiența IB: Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS), Theory of Knowledge (TOK) și Extended Essay (EE). Componente care îi provoacă pe elevi să gândească diferit, să își pună întrebări, să lucreze cu oamenii, să cerceteze, să creeze și să iasă din zona de confort.

Dincolo de prezentări, postere și expoziții, evenimentul este despre abilitățile și lecțiile pe care elevii le vor duce cu ei mult după terminarea școlii.✨️

🌍 Iar asta este, poate, una dintre cele mai valoroase părți ale programului IB.

🌍 IB Core Annual Gala is, without question, the most important signature annual events within our International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).

✨️ This event is dedicated to the three components that truly define the IB experience: Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS), Theory of Knowledge (TOK), and the Extended Essay (EE). Components that challenge students to think differently, ask questions, work with people, research, create, and step outside their comfort zone.

Beyond the presentations, posters, and exhibitions, the event is about the skills and lessons students will carry with them long after leaving school.✨️

🌍 And that is perhaps one of the most valuable parts of the IB Programme.
