How can Artificial Intelligence and digital skills better support farmers?

Under the project, coordinated by International Hellenic University/Διεθνές Πανεπιστήμιο της Ελλάδος CPIP - COMUNITATEA PENTRU INVATAREA PERMANENTA organised this month's Romanian National Focus Group, bringing together in hybrid format active farmers, a teacher from an agricultural technological high school, a lecturer from the King Michael I University of Life Sciences in Timișoara, an agricultural officer and an agricultural register counsellor from local public administration, and an agriculture student who works on her family's farm.

The discussion highlighted key priorities for the sector, from GPS-guided farming and precision technologies to practical training, recognised certifications and the financial conditions needed to make digital transformation accessible for all farmers.

Săptămâna trecută la Haga 🇳🇱 reprezentanți din Timișoara, alături de tineri și profesioniști din Grecia, Spania, Portugalia, Italia și Olanda, au explorat modele europene de implicare civică, educație non-formală și incluziune socială. Programul a inclus vizite de studiu, ateliere interactive și schimburi de bune practici, oferind participanților ocazia de a-și dezvolta competențele de comunicare, colaborare și leadership într-un context internațional!

🎉 Excited to share the activities carried out in 🇵🇹 by the project coordinator, OEI Portugal

Earlier this month, an activity was held with teachers and local authorities involved in the Border Schools initiative, a project implemented along the Portugal–Spain border that promotes intercultural dialogue and multilingual education.

During the event, the project was presented, providing an opportunity to exchange experiences and highlight the importance of youth participation, inclusion, and democratic engagement in educational settings. 🗳️👥

The scenarios have been tested on pilot courses across Europe. Gabriel joined an event in Timisoara, Romania, contributing educators’ perspectives to the development of the scenarios. The event was organised by CPIP Romania - Centrul Pentru Promovarea Invatarii Permanente.

You can use any of these scenarios and exercises in your own classes. They are organised into five topics:

🗳Democracy and active engagement
👨‍👨‍👧‍👦Personal, social, and learning to learn skills

The scenarios are part of a toolkit that also includes a resource collection to help educators get started with emerging technologies. The resources include, for example, free AI tools, articles, publications, and online courses.
