Where the Ganges flows, the soul remembers.
A moment from our Rishikesh retreat, forever illuminated by the gaze of Lord Ganesha, witness to the quiet opening of the heart.
From the grounded fire of Tittibhasana to the quiet surrender of inversions, each breath was an offering.
In the presence of the Remover of Obstacles, we found our balance, turning the world upside down to see the truth within.
A sweet fragment of time, held in the stillness of the shala and the echoes of the Himalayas.

An open heart is a strong heart. Stay open. Stay kind. Stay present. 🤍

When the mind loosens its grip on noise, the heart remembers its natural rhythm.
Stillness is not the absence of life, but it’s clearest expression.
Sit with your breath.
Soften around your thoughts.
Let experience pass like clouds across an open sky.
In quiet attention, the self is not something to build,
but something revealed…
spacious, steady, already whole.

Leaning into deep backbend isn’t just physical..it’s a practice of trust. Backbending asks for more than flexibility. It asks for trust. It asks for courage. It asks for the willingness to meet the unknown behind you with an open heart.
And this is where Śraddhā comes in ~ the quiet inner faith that supports our growth, the knowing that it’s safe to soften, to expand, to lean a little further into the unknown.

Chilly mornings have a way of softening everything.
The world wrapped in fog, candles glowing with a steady, quiet warmth.
Somewhere along the way, I grew to love these muted dawns.
I still dream of sunlight warming my skin, but the longing for it has become sweet, almost tender, as if the fog itself is teaching me to slow down and listen.
I think of the tittibha bird from stories~small, fragile, yet fearless enough to stand at the edge of the ocean and protect what it loves.
There’s something in that spirit that lives in these mornings~
a quiet courage, a gentle insistence,
a reminder that strength doesn’t always roar…
sometimes it rises slowly in the cold,
steady as breath, soft as a single flame in the mist.

Folding into Kapotasana B is a quiet conversation with oneself. The asana invites presence, honesty, and a softness that steadies the mind.
In Sutra I.12 we understand that abhyasa and vairagya guide the mind toward steadiness through consistent practice and letting go. Both effort and release have their place in the process.

स्थिरसुखमासनम् 📿
Sutra 2.46
The body is a space of duality- strength and softness, effort and surrender, steadiness and flow.
In each practice, we meet both comfort and discomfort. Asana practice isn’t only about feeling good, but about being present, even when what we meet within ourselves isn’t easy.
Patañjali reminds us: “Sthiram Sukham Āsanam” - the posture is steady and comfortable.
Not because it’s effortless from the beginning, but because through awareness we find stillness within the effort, ease within the challenge.
With time we learn to hold both -to root and to release.
To find peace, not in escaping sensation, but in resting deeply inside it. 🦋

Folding into stillness 🌾
There’s a softness that arrives after the effort ~ breath steady, gaze inward, heart open.
This moment, this ground beneath me at holds something sweet I can’t quite put into words.
Endlessly grateful for this experience ~ for the practice, for the people, for the olive trees and early mornings.

Bharadvajasana ~ भरद्वाजासन
A gentle twist and a powerful reminder.
Sage Bharadvaja devoted lifetimes to studying the Vedas. But it wasn’t until he began sharing his wisdom that he truly honored it.
Knowledge is not meant to be stored, it's meant to be shared.
Let your practice be an offering. Even one insight can spark a transformation.
Stay tuned!
A new season of practice is on the horizon, filled with workshops, classes, and deep dives into the heart of yoga. 📿
