I smell something. For the first time in my life, I should add. I smell a new week coming in not more than a few hours. That means, it's time for another class of Beginner English! Last week we got off the beaten path and jumped into singing a song so very very English that I hope you guys will, if not yet, then soon learn to understand in its full meaning.

This week Tizi is still away, so you have to accept both me and Karo to be with you.

I want to remind you, that there are'nt many lessons left in this course, only 2 to be exact, until the final "St Nick's bash" on 5th of November.

Last week, we got 2 new participants, who I hope will also join us today. We got acquainted with them, had a chat about what we all during the week leading up to the class and played some games.

Also, we wrote a group poem, where each of us had to write a line and the only thing we knew about the previous lines was the last word. the subject was death and horror.

Once there was a man
If there only was a way for me to understand
I want to go to England
I dont have a lot of money to spend
I spend my free time with my friend
Be the end

Tomorrow is Monday! And you have to go to school, ha! But, after that we have the beginners English class, where you can finish the day off with some good fun under the masterful Karolina.

Last week we talked about animals and played a game where you had to find out what creature someone was thinking about. I liked that game.

Also, we had a good couple of rounds of knee-tag, from which one of my knees is still hurting.

I hope none of you have gotten ill, and those who were, are now well enough to join the class. Come by tomorrow at 16.00 to find out what Karolina has planned for you : )

Last weekend was Halloween, and as we mentioned, we were lucky enough to be invited to Claudia's afterschool. and boy, did we have fun!

After blowing up the balloons meant for a specific game and decorations, the children that we are, we started just kicking them around, not long after the first kids started to arrive and helped us in turning the balloon game into a real mayhem.

When all of the guest were there, we started up with a fashion show of all the participants of the party, showing off our costumes in a flashy way. There were princesses, witches, monsters, pirates and a corpulent turkish man.

From there we played games, made some spooky halloween pumpkin themed candleholders out of paper and glass-jars (the skills of these young monsters baffled me - all of them did a great job).

Using not the old-fashioned method, but rolls of toilet paper, we mummified each other and then had a dance off, all of that ended with a team effort clean-up during which we saw a sight never to forget - a skeleton-princess swimming on the floor in heaps of toilet paper. Just amazing!

The organizers also prepared food and drinks for all, its been a long time since that much food has found a way into my stomach in such a short period of time. Pizza and home-made muffins : )

The evening ended with a celebration of our best-dressed participants and the best organizers and a group photo of all the good people that took part of the event.

Thanks again for the people of Claudia's afterschool for giving us a chance to take part in such an amazing Halloween party!

Halloweeen!

Monday's class. Amazing as always. We learned new words, Excercised, you saw me put my head under a chair and we drew a picture of a beautiful gentleman with a very nice big head, Hendrik. Dont forget to tag the group photo, so I can work on remembering your names : )

Yay, Karolina is back!!
This weeks courses were FULL of laughter, dancing and silly games!! We had so much fun, that some of us didn't even want to leave. But no worries...because next week is approaching fast!!
Next week we are gonna continue with our silly games, but we have something really special planned for the advanced class, it's something you don't want to miss! ;)

This week we had not one, but two English lessons! And both of them, were great fun - at least for me and even Tiziana (the master of Fun Times and Education), who was helping me with the Monday lesson was full of approval after the class, and also very proud of all of you, who joined the lessons.
Next week, Karo will be back (Yay!) and we will continue with the classes with more professionalism in both the teaching part and the games part.
