Call for Papers

The Soma as the Core of Aesthetics, Ethics and Politics
Szeged, Hungary, June 26-28th, 2017

Following the success of the 2014 conference “Aesthetic Experience and Somaesthetics,” which drew over thirty participants from across the globe and resulted in papers already published in Pragmatism Today and others soon to be published in a forthcoming volume with Brill, our new conference seeks to broaden the conversation of somaesthetics by engaging not only aesthetics but also the fields of ethics and politics.

CALL FOR PAPERS

The Hungarian Philosophical Association, the University of Szeged and the Pro Philosophia Szegediensi Foundation is organizing an international conference on “The Soma as the Core of Aesthetics, Ethics and Politics”.

Keynote speaker: Prof. Richard Shusterman

Experts, teachers and researchers in the fields of aesthetics, arts, philosophy, ethics, life sciences, social sciences, and politics are invited to submit papers for the international conference which will take place in Szeged (Hungary) on June 26-28th, 2017.

Deadline for submitting abstracts is January 31, 2017

Standard papers as well as poster and electronic presentations are possible. The official language of the conference is English.

An ISBN publication with all accepted papers will be produced.
