FRM - Master in Finance and Risk Management

Internationalisation #𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙍𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙮𝙈𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙨 in full blossom 🌺
As spring arrives, our curious, passionate and open-minded students of the FRM - Master in Finance and Risk Management are embracing the world 🇷🇴✈️🌏 — both far and near! From 16 to 27 March 2026, 26 FRM students participated in our flagship international programme INTQUANT at our partner universities Uniwersytet Ekonomiczny w Krakowie and FH des BFI Wien or chose internationalisation at home, studying at theFEAA - Facultatea de Economie și Administrarea Afacerilor Iași of Universitatea „Alexandru Ioan Cuza” din Iași. INTQUANT is a two-week intensive programme developed in 2016 within the framework of an ERASMUS+ European Strategic Partnership, labeled Good Practice Example by the European Commission and used as a model for current Erasmus+ blended intensive programmes (BIP). Besides learning from top practitioners and academics on relevant topics of advanced risk and wealth management such as credit scorecard development, calculation of capital requirements for a portfolio or creation of a mixed fund, our students had a transformative experience working in international teams and exchanging ideas with their peers from Austria, Poland, Italy, Armenia, Turkey, Ukraine, and Germany. At FRM, we proudly practice internationalisation since 2010.

We are truly proud of Raluca Drangă, Lucian Gîscă, Dragoș Nasalciuc, Sânziana Perju and Cezar Oltu, our motivated students in the FRM - Master in Finance and Risk Management that represented the FEAA - Facultatea de Economie și Administrarea Afacerilor Iași and Universitatea „Alexandru Ioan Cuza” din Iași in the final of the 13th edition of CFA Institute Research Challenge, the most prestigious competition in finance and investment analysis organized by CFA Society Romania. In addition to their intensive course schedule in Iași or abroad, our self-driven students doubled their effort by playing the role of sell-side analysts in preparing an equity research report on a listed company from Bursa de Valori Bucuresti and presenting the results to a panel of professionals in the financial industry in Bucharest on February 28th, 2026.
We are really grateful to our FRM Alumnus Gheorghe Cojocaru, CFA industry mentor for the first time. His commitment and dedication for a full semester truly made a difference in building the confidence and the mindset necessary to our students for long-term success!
We are also enthusiastic that the FRM administrative team included this year more academics - Daniela Balutel, Iulian Ihnatov and Silviu Ursu, ready, as always, to provide our students with unconditional support.

We love summer ☀️, summer holidays ⛱️, summer schooling 🎓 during summer holidays 🥳 So, we love hosting our JASSY FRM Summer School in July, when Copou is mostly silent, students are mostly gone, but our academic guests from all over the world are coming to Romania to make Iași great again and get Universitatea „Alexandru Ioan Cuza" din Iași, FEAA - Facultatea de Economie și Administrarea Afacerilor Iași and FRM - Master in Finance and Risk Management alive again. Now with a more intensive format and a new focus, 𝙈𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙞𝙣 𝙁𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙍𝙞𝙨𝙠 𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 hosted during 14-20 July 2025 the module 𝘍𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘝𝘢𝘭𝘶𝘦 𝘊𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 of the 8th edition of JASSY Summer School. Participants from Austria, Belarus, China, France, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, Republic of Moldova and Romania were introduced to the practical and theoretical aspects of responsible financial decisions of companies and the essential role of finance in creating long-term value. Through case studies, Excel applications and interactive lectures given by the FRM coordinators - professors Silviu Ursu and Iulian Ihnatov, participants acquired financial analysis and modeling skills, essential for assessing the performance of companies from various industries. We want to thank our amazing participants, hard-working volunteers and supportive staff, especially from Serviciul Relații Internaționale, UAIC and Biblioteca Centrală Universitară "Mihai Eminescu" Iaşi, for another successful edition of JASSY Summer School! 100 days, 100 study hours, 10 pages of equity research and 1 great presentation on March 1st, 2025 by the team representing the FRM - Master in Finance and Risk Management of the FEAA - Facultatea de Economie și Administrarea Afacerilor Iași and Universitatea „Alexandru Ioan Cuza" din Iași in the final of the most prestigious finance competition organized by CFA Society Romania. We are proud to announce that 𝙁𝙍𝙈 is the 𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩-𝙍𝙖𝙣𝙠𝙚𝙙 𝙈𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 of the FEAA - Facultatea de Economie și Administrarea Afacerilor Iași of Universitatea „Alexandru Ioan Cuza" din Iași, after the publication of official admission results in July 2024. With an entry grade of 9.62, the highest among master programmes of the , and a 1.44 ratio of applicants to statistically-distributed places, we congratulate our 𝙁𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙝 𝙍𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙮 𝙈𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙨 that got successfully admitted to FRM - Master in Finance and Risk Management and demonstrated once again the quality of our quantitative programme.
