Speakers, trainers,
It is almost the end of the summer, barely 5 more weeks to go. I love the summer, I feel positive, energic and definitely love to get kissed by the sun. Hope you are having a great time!
Did you enjoy the discussions we had about Public Speaking? We definitely did!
Here is what I bring on the table today:
How DESCRIPTIVE can you get?
If you are like me, you probably remember that when we were in school, our dearest teachers encouraged us to speak in front of our colleagues about MANY things, for example a book we had to read as homework, or something that we have seen during our summer vacation, or to present a specific theme.
Can you remember a specific time when you had to tell a story, too?
Great speakers have the belief that you have to be a good storyteller.
What do you believe about this?
It is good to question this, isn't it?
Why would it be so good?
By seeing an example of a descriptive text, we can see in real time some tips and tricks about linguistic utilization.

I look over surroundings, round and around and I am grateful for the feng-shui perfection of the beach.
The sand, the trees are all aligned in my perfect view and dip their heads in obedience to the sea.
And oh, the trees!
They have an utopic beauty that cannot be conquered.
I am here to savour the sea’s indefinable beauty and let its infinity seep into my mind. By feeding my mind, I am feeding my soul!
With luck, I will carry fragments of it home as memory.
Lovely sea, see you next year!

Oh, yea! What was that? It was deep, indeed.
It was descriptive, indeed.
I could easily picture everything in my head, by reading words, creating worlds. I did.
In a second, my mind was already by the sea, feeling the sun, hearing the waves, seeing the blues...
That was a great example of a descriptive text!
Imagine now, for a second that we, as speakers, trainers, could speak and make usage of the linguistics in such a way that by the moment we speak we start building entire worlds?
NLP has some great techniques that empower us to get creative, courageous and motivated to stand up and speak.
In our trainings we work on creating the best stories built on precise metaphors that extend the thinking, empower the creativity for each and every participant you have there with you, in your training room!
By feeding the mind, you are feeding the soul, isn't that true?
