Within the framework of the project "Easy Technology for Adults - ETFOA", the last meeting of the project took place. The experts of the project partners' teams met at Basiskele, Kocaeli - Turkey, on 25-26 March 2019. The purpose of the meeting was to assess coordination and project management. Thus, the three previous meetings, the project activities, the dissemination of each partner and the financial management were reviewed. Also discussed were the selection methods used by each partner, the materials, the training and the learning modules developed.
In cadrul proiectului "Easy Technology for Adults β ETFOA" a avut loc ultima intalnire a proiectului.

A 70-year-old senior from Hodora, Iasi, Romania, received a laptop from grandchildren to facilitate contact with children and grandchildren from other localities, but there was a problem: grandchildren showed him only once how it workes and left. The grandfather stayed with his laptop and looked at him, afraid to open it in order not to destroy it.
Eager to find something new, we organized a meeting and we started to open and close the laptop. We practice this more than once. I explained the component of a laptop and the use of each component without going into details. We started the laptop together and started exploring all the programs and applications. Slowly, the grandfather took courage and became more and more curious. To get used to the keyboard we opened a Word document and started writing stories. Then we taught together to use the internet browser, looking for information about plant care and animal husbandry, these being the main areas of interest for the elderly. The last game together was creating an account in the social network and creating a network of friends. We had a lot of fun discovering schoolmates, neighbors, and finally talking to them through the internet. We also look forward to finding out how well he did after the end of our work.

Today we will tell you about a gentle lady that's always aware of what's going on around her, but remained behind with the abilities to use the new technology! She was delighted by a mobile phone company to change her subscription with a subscription + phone offer. Arrived home in Hodora, Iasi, Romania, with the smart phone, she managed to start it and call to familiar numbers. I came to help explaining her phone functions, the applications, listening enthusiastically and even at one point exclaimed: "How much it can do! Only food does not do!". She also began to "play" with the new acquisition, we introduced the numbers together in the phone book, the first being the 112 emergency emergency call. I installed other applications that would be useful in conversations with close people. Being a sociable and constantly interested new person, I saved my newspaper pages online. He first visited the daily papers, but she wanted to know how she can find other ones. I've led her to use a search engine to make it easier to find what she's looking for.

An interesting session attended by 4 grandparents from the village of Hodora, Cotnari village, Iasi County, Romania, eager to socialize. Supplied with modern phones they have heard around them that they can communicate easily using the phone. We've formed a circle, we went into settings together, explained how it works, what are the applications, what I'm using. We also talked about moves that could block the phone and make it inoperable. I installed protection programs, drawing their attention to the negative effects that social networking posts would have. We made accounts, marked their confidential data in their notebooks so they were not forgotten, we closed and opened the pages, we connected, and started looking for friends and post. The first thing we posted was well-known to check-in at our place and make a selfie. We quit for a while on the socializing page and we went to the news pages, local newspaper pages. The press magazine turned out to be more exciting and captivating!

C.P. is a 59 years old teacher from Ceplenita commune, Iasi County, Roamnai, and has been teacher for 40 years. Current job requirements are editing documents to the computer in a more orderly manner. Her son was helping her, when they lived together, but he went to work abroad, and the teacher was forced to receive guidance in editing documents and useful presentations in the teaching process. So, I started helping her in using Microsoft Office - Power Point. The first day of school approached and needed a presentation material for the parents. I've trained her in menus, toolbars, basics, making a presentation, viewing presentation pages, designing a presentation, inserting objects, main pages, animating computer presentations. Together, we built a colorful, joyful presentation, appropriate to the moment in which it will be exposed, and the lady has expressed her desire to learn to use the computer alone in teaching.

Mrs. V.C. of Cotnari commune, Iasi County, Romania, aged 56, has recently been unemployed. All firms that employ and for what she qualifies ask for a CV. She asked me to do one, she did't know what it was about, and has poor computer skills. I invited her to my place of work and I launched a challenge: learning to work together at the computer. We started from the basic notions of closing and opening the computer, important components and their usefulness. After several restarts I went to the next level: Microsoft Office. We've gotten around the programs a couple of times to gain confidence and some dexterity and after words she opend the Word page on it's own (well, under my guidance, of course!), we selected together the fonts, the spacing and the size of the letters and we started to write. After a few rows to get acquainted with the keyboard, we launched a European CV model and we started to complete it together. After completing it, even if it took a while, I read on the lady's face a huge satisfaction that she managed to do something about which she had no idea. When I printed it, already the joy was without boundaries.
