🏎️ Meet Ștefan Burbulea, IasiMUN XVIII’s Deputy President of the General Assembly, as he prepares to close the most defining chapter of his student years. Carried by the same restless ambition that got him here in the first place, he considers it an immense privilege to help organize, one last time, Romania’s finest Model United Nations, and to also pass the torch to those who will carry it forward.

This journey almost never happened. Back in 2023, life seemed determined to keep Stefan far from the world of MUNs, and further still from the friendships and memories it would go on to give him. Everything changed at IasiMUN XV, where he took his first real step into diplomacy and debate. From there, the path only grew steeper and more rewarding: IasiMUN XVI brought him the Best Delegate Award in DISEC, and IasiMUN XVII placed him, for the first time, in the very organizing team he now returns to. IasiMUN XVIII closes that circle: not as another edition, but as his farewell to the community that shaped him.

For Ștefan, this role was never just a title. It was always a chance to return what was once given to him: guidance, patience, and belief. As he steps away from the MUN world for good, he hopes to leave behind a little of that same spark in the delegates he meets. He warmly invites every prospective participant to join him and his colleagues in making this final edition one truly worth remembering.

At the very core of IaşiMUN XVIII stands the Secretariat, the duo that has been shaping this edition from the ground up since day one. They’re the driving vision behind everything you’ve seen so far, and it’s only right that we save the biggest introduction for last.

💨 For one last time…

Meet Tudor Honceriu, a soon-to-be senior at “Costache Negruzzi” National College in Iași. He is deeply honoured to serve as the Deputy Secretary-General of the 18th edition of IașiMUN.

Empathetic, ambitious, and remarkably hard-working, Tudor has learned firsthand what it truly means to take responsibility for a conference while striving to uphold the standards and legacy built over the years. Now, as IașiMUN “comes of age,” he is confident that, alongside the entire organizing team, led, of course, by his good friend Stephen Burbulea, the Secretary-General, he will help create a memorable edition, one that will undoubtedly earn its place in the conference’s history.

Throughout his MUN journey, Tudor has learned countless lessons that have shaped him into the person he is today. He has discovered the importance of diplomacy, perseverance, responsibility, and, above all, the courage to believe in something greater than oneself. Along the way, he has met extraordinary people, many of whom he can now proudly call his friends, and created memories that he will carry with him long after his final committee session comes to an end.

For Tudor, MUN’s have never been simply about debates, resolutions, or awards. It has been about finding his voice, pushing beyond his limits, and becoming part of a community that inspired him to dream bigger. IașiMUN represents both the beginning of an important chapter and, now, the closing of another.

Therefore, for one last time, he is ready to give this conference everything he has, to honour its legacy, inspire those who are only beginning their journeys, and make its 18th edition truly unforgettable.

Because while conferences eventually come to an end, the people, lessons, and memories behind them never truly do.

He is currently studying at Costache Negruzzi
National College in lași and is driven by a deep passion for numbers, logic, and strategic problem-solving.
Tudor enjoys analyzing complex situations to find the most efficient solutions and is looking
forward to applying this mindset to the team’s budget. He is eager to collaborate with his
colleagues to optimize our resources and ensure a seamless experience for all participants.
As William Arthur Ward once said,
“The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change; the realist adjusts the sails.” Tudor brings this grounded and realistic
perspective to the table, ensuring our financial planning is always on the right course.

Meet Achirei Maria, a 12th grader and the Head of Finance for IașiMUN, bringing ambition, precision, and a touch of creativity to everything she does. With an eye for detail and a practical mindset, she is ready to tackle challenges, keep things on track, and make sure every idea has the resources to come to life.

For Maria, IașiMUN is more than budgets and numbers—it is about teamwork, dedication, and the people who make the conference what it is. She is excited to be part of this year’s team and cannot wait to see all their hard work turn into an unforgettable experience.

🪁Having been part of IașiMUN for three years already, both as a volunteer and as a delegate, Iustin is taking things a step further for the XVIIIth edition. This sophomore is more than thrilled to put his hard-earned experience to good use and step into his role as Head of Staff, alongside his dear friend Ștefana, promising to live up to everyone’s expectations.

Always ready with an idea, a helping hand, or probably far too much enthusiasm, Iustin is looking forward to working with the entire team and helping this upcoming edition reach its full potential!
