Go Digital in Law 2026 & COPEJI 9.0 – Beyond Borders, Together ✨

This year in Iași, over 150 participants came together to explore the intersection of law and technology — with rigor, vision, and courage.

We discussed AI, software, digital services, digital markets, and legal innovation, with contributions from tech entrepreneurs, CTOs, CEOs, academics, and legal practitioners. Over 20 speakers and more than 60 COPEJI panelists shared insights, bridging technology and law.

🌍 Our global community now spans 7 new countries: Angola, Norway, Greece, Ukraine, Brazil, Chile, and Colombia — proving digital law is truly borderless.

Beyond sessions, participants enjoyed networking, cultural visits to Bucovina, and authentic conversations that extended beyond conference rooms.

Day 5 Recap | Go Digital in Law ⚖️💻

Friday the 13th, but nothing scary about the future of law. Only innovation, insight, and powerful conversations.

We explored the new challenges of freezing crypto-assets, discussed how law and design can drive transformative change, and got hands-on during an inspiring legal tech workshop.

The afternoon continued with thought-provoking discussions on leadership in tech, Romanian case law and enforcement trends in the digital economy, and the impact of the Digital Services Act & Digital Markets Act on platforms and businesses.

A full day of ideas, expertise, and meaningful connections shaping the digital future of law.

Day 4 Recap | Go Digital in Law

Thursday brought another inspiring day at Go Digital in Law.

We had the pleasure of learning from Martin O’Malley, Amalia Georgescu (AGEO Biz) on compliant digital advertising, Gabriel Stănescu (University of Southern Denmark) on digital debt collection, Iulian Băbeanu (Wolters Kluwer Romania) on the present of legal assistants, and Cren̦guța Leaua (University of Bucharest) who challenged us to reflect on whether law is evolving into a meta-artificiality.

We ended with a visit to the Palace of Culture of Iași, the perfect close to an insightful Day 4.

❄️ Day 2 Recap | Go Digital in Law – Winter School ❄️

Day 2 took us deeper into legal tech innovation, emerging technologies, and hands-on learning.

We started the day by exploring the Nordic legal tech ecosystem, followed by insightful discussions on smart contracts and privacy risks and how legal frameworks can address new technological challenges.

☕ After a short coffee break, we continued with sessions on copyright regulation in the digital space and AI solutions in the medical field, highlighting both innovation and regulatory complexity.

🤖 The afternoon was all about practice, with a hands-on AI workshop led by the UAIC Faculty of Computer Science, giving participants the chance to engage directly with technology.

⚛️ We closed the academic programme with a fascinating introduction to quantum computing and its future impact.

🍽️ The day ended on a cultural note with a traditional Romanian dinner, bringing everyone together for great food and even better conversations.

Our first day of the Winter School was all about data, AI, and the evolving role of law in a digital world.
We kicked things off with the opening ceremony and continued with engaging sessions on data-driven law, AI in practice, legal design, global compliance, and tech innovation.

🎤 We were joined by inspiring speakers from academia and the legal tech industry, who shared valuable insights, real-world experiences, and fresh perspectives on how technology is reshaping legal practice.
