EN: Combating non-state actors' access to weapons is a crucial concern in the fields of diplomacy and international security. When they obtain and use weapons, non-state actors such as terrorist organizations, rebel groups, criminal networks, and militias pose a serious threat to world peace and stability. Wide-ranging effects of non-state actors having access to weapons include terrorism, insurgency, violations of human rights, and regional instability. The unchecked transfer of weapons to these groups directly jeopardizes global peace and security. The discussions and actions of the DISEC committee are essential for minimizing the influence of non-state actors on world stability and making sure that weapons do not end up in the wrong hands. The international community can cooperate to prevent conflict, protect vulnerable populations, and advance a safer world for all if this issue is addressed in its entirety.

EN: The Social, Humanitarian and Cultural (SOCHUM) Committee is one of the six main committees of the United Nations General Assembly. Its responsibility is to focus on issues related to social, humanitarian, and cultural matters, including the advancement of women, the protection of children, indigenous issues, the treatment of refugees, the elimination of racial discrimination, and the promotion of the right to self-determination. The SOCHUM committee aims to encourage states to work together via consensus and communication to achieve a brighter future for all.

RO: Comitetul Social, Umanitar și Cultural (SOCHUM) este unul dintre cele șase comitete principale ale Adunării Generale a Națiunilor Unite. Responsabilitatea sa este să se concentreze asupra problemelor legate de chestiuni sociale, umanitare și culturale, inclusiv promovarea femeilor, protecția copiilor, problemele indigenilor, tratamentul refugiaților, eliminarea discriminării rasiale și promovarea dreptului la sine. Comitetul SOCHUM își propune să încurajeze statele să lucreze împreună prin consens și comunicare pentru a obține un viitor mai luminos pentru toți.

EN: The UNODC was created to assist the UN address illegal drug trafficking and abuse, crime prevention and criminal justice, international terrorism and political corruption. Research, guidance and support to governments in the adaption and implementation of various crime, drug, terrorism and corruption-related conventions, treaties and protocols, as well as technical/financial assistance to said governments in dealing with their respective situations and challenges in these fields, achieve these objectives.

RO: UNODC a fost creat pentru a ajuta ONU să abordeze traficul și abuzul ilegal de droguri, prevenirea criminalității și justiția penală, terorismul internațional și corupția politică. Cercetare, îndrumare și sprijin acordat guvernelor în adaptarea și implementarea diferitelor convenții, tratate și protocoale legate de criminalitate, droguri, terorism și corupție, precum și asistență tehnică/financiară acordată guvernelor menționate în abordarea situațiilor și provocărilor lor respective în aceste domenii , atinge aceste obiective.
