🎓 - Mihaela Bonto, Planning and Scheduling Manager at Emerson | EMBA Student, 2026 Cohort

With a strong background in planning, scheduling, and operational coordination, Mihaela Bonto brings valuable experience from a dynamic business environment, where structure, clarity, and leadership play an essential role in keeping complex processes moving forward.

At the beginning of this year, she made an important decision to enrol in The University of Buckingham Executive MBA programme, locally facilitated by TEE in Cluj-Napoca, while continuing to manage a full-time leadership role.

We recently concluded an intense four-day immersion into Governance and Business Ethics with the EMBA 11th Cohort. In today’s complex world, moving beyond compliance to foster a genuine culture of integrity is what defines tomorrow's leaders.

The module was led by Dr. Duncan Wigan, who challenged the cohort to critically examine global governance structures and corporate accountability, shifting perspectives from simple risk management to purpose-driven leadership.

A major highlight was the perspectives brought by our exceptional guest speakers: Cornel Ban and Voicu Oprean.

He is also a member of the Supervisory Board of Carpathia Pensii.

His profile brings together executive leadership, financial expertise, insurance industry insight, and a strong interest in cognitive and behavioural sciences, an area in which he holds a master’s degree. He also holds a PhD in Finance from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies.

In this session, Mădălin will share insights from his leadership journey and offer a real-world perspective on decision-making, economic thinking, and navigating complex business environments.

We are delighted to welcome Mădălin Roșu, PhD as a guest speaker during the upcoming Executive Talk, part of the Economics and Entrepreneurship module of the Executive MBA programme, taking place next week, between 11-14 June.

With over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, Mădălin Roșu is currently CEO of Asirom - Vienna Insurance Group, President of the Romanian Motor Insurers’ Bureau, and coordinator of motor insurance activities within UNSAR. He is also a member of the Supervisory Board of Carpathia Pensii. Previously, he served for almost a decade as a member of the Management Board of Omniasig Vienna Insurance Group, where he coordinated areas such as claims, motor underwriting, litigation, and technical operations.

Beyond his executive career, Mădălin is strongly involved in educational and professional development initiatives. Since 2012, he has been a member of the EFICERT accreditation team and has delivered courses as a lecturer within master’s programmes at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies.

Aurel Bernat - Economics and Entrepreneurship

Next week, between 11-14 June, the Executive MBA 2026 cohort will take part in the Economics and Entrepreneurship module, focused on business investment decisions, market opportunities, and the economic thinking needed in today’s business environment.

The module features two lecturers, both proud alumni of the Executive MBA programme, strongly connected to the business world and passionate about sharing practical knowledge.

Alongside Dr. Alin T. Băiescu, we are proud to announce that Aurel Bernat will also deliver this module. Aurel is a highly experienced professional with over 20 years of expertise in the financial-banking sector and capital markets.

He is Executive Director for Financial Institutions and International Relations at Banca Transilvania, where he is responsible for the bank’s international strategy. He previously served as CEO of BT Asset Management, leading the company to a market-leading position in investment fund management, and is currently Chairman of the Board at BT Pensii, supporting the development of private pension funds.

Alongside his leadership roles, Aurel is also an Associate Lecturer at the Faculty of Business, Babeș-Bolyai University, contributing to international financial and management education programmes. He is a PhD candidate in Management at the University of Hull, UK, holds an Executive MBA, and is a graduate of the International Directors Programme at INSEAD, with a focus on advanced corporate governance.

His experience brings a valuable perspective to the classroom, connecting financial markets, banking, investment management, governance, and real-world economic decision-making.

We look forward to a module that will connect economic concepts with practical business realities and offer participants a clearer perspective on how strategic decisions are shaped.
