Universitățile tehnice și viitorul lor

On October 15-16, Universitatea Tehnica din Cluj-Napoca through the Entrec - Energy Transition Research Center organized the General Assembly of EVELIXIA Project - Smart Grid-Efficient Interactive Buildings.

This Horizon Europe project brings together 36 high profile organizations from 12 EU countries envisioning to realize Buildings as Active Utility Nodes (BAUNs).
It was a great opportunity for the entire consortium to showcase the latest advancements in this project and to align on future developments.

Our partners had also the chance to visit the pilot sites of Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, gaining insights into the practical implementations of our ambitious project.

A big thank to everyone who participated and special thanks to our Romanian partners Distributie Energie Electrica Romania and SC Termoficare Napoca for their help in organizing this event!

Last week I participated at the defense of two very interesting PhD theses, as a member of the committees:

1. Mădălina Arhip Călin "Analysis of power quality aspects of advanced power systems" - Universitatea POLITEHNICA din București, Facultatea de Energetica - UPB, coordinator Prof. Radu Porumb.
2. Andrei Gheorghe: "Modeling and simulation of electrical equipment from smart homes" - Universitatea „Valahia” din Târgoviște, coordinator Prof. Horia Andrei.

I also had the opportunity to present the results obtained in European projects by Entrec - Energy Transition Research Center (Universitatea Tehnica din Cluj-Napoca).

I would like to thank Mr. Rector Salisteanu Ioan Corneliu (Universitatea „Valahia” din Târgoviște) and Mr. Vice-rector Prof. Horia Necula (Universitatea POLITEHNICA din București) for the excellent organization of these events.

Last week I participated as a keynote specker at the 59th edition of the prestigious Universities Power Engineering Conference-UPEC2024 organized by Cardiff University.
The title of my keynote speech was: "An EU projects-based perspective on energy transition towards decarbonization".

It was a great honor for me and the Energy Transition Research Center-Entrec team to represent Universitatea Tehnica din Cluj-Napoca at this very important event.

In 2010 I was accepted into the UPEC International Steering Committee and in 2014 I organized the 49th edition of this prestigious conference in Cluj-Napoca, so this invitation as keynote speaker is even more valuable and honoring for me.

Last month, as part of the ELSE PRO project, Universitatea Tehnica din Cluj-Napoca hosted the Erasmus blended intensive program Summer Camp.
Congratulations to the project coordinator, professor Laura Grindei, organizers and participants, students and staff from: Universitat Politècnica de València, Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, Technological University of Dublin, Technical University of Cluj-Napoca.

Mulțumesc tuturor celor care au participat la vot! A fost un exercitiu democratic extrem de important care dovedește că avem o universitate sănătoasă și că există alternative!

Mulțumesc din suflet celor 257 de colegi de la Universitatea Tehnică din Cluj-Napoca care au crezut în mine și în schimbarea de cultură organizațională.

Mulțumesc colegilor din extensia...Centrul Nord Baia Mare care au acordat schimbării doar 17 voturi din 155 :)

Consecvența în valorile noastre trebuie să se păstreze!

Îi felicit pe adversarii mei de campanie și îl felicit pe domnul profesor Vasile T**a pentru victorie!

Dragi colege și colegi,

am decis să candidez la poziția de rector și pornesc pe acest drum
