On 1 and 2 October, Ms Anda Bădiță, our Deputy Head Primary and Designated Safeguarding Lead, and Ms Zsuzsanna Dani, our Early Years and KS1 Coordinator and Year 2 teacher, joined the 5th National Conference of the Asociația Școlilor Particulare - ASP (Association of Private Schools in Romania) in Bucharest.

The event brought together teachers, school leaders and founders from nearly 400 private and confessional schools across Romania. They discussed what keeps children curious and focused in class, how a school's promise turns into a real experience for every student, and how AI can help teachers.

As a Cambridge school, we value teachers who keep learning, and we love seeing them bring new ideas back to their classrooms.

Posture is about so much more than just "sitting up straight". As children grow, their bodies undergo rapid changes, especially when managing school bags, desk time, and screen use.

Huge congratulations, Ved, on the results obtained at A levels!🎉

Cambridge A levels are taken at the end of Year 13 and mark the finish line of a two-year specialised study. Students focus on just 3 or 4 subjects in depth, building the strong foundation that universities around the world look for in new applicants.

These qualifications are accepted in over 160 countries, opening doors to universities in the UK, Europe, the US, and Canada.

➡️ Crucially for families here, A levels are recognised in Romania too, meaning students can apply to local universities or study abroad.

Assessment happens at the end of the course and can include written papers, oral exams, coursework and practical work. A Level results are graded from A* to E, with A* being the highest. 🤩

Cambridge A levels are the final step of the Cambridge pathway, taken at the end of Year 13 after two years of specialised study.

Students usually choose 3 or 4 subjects and study them in depth, building the knowledge universities look for. A levels are recognised by universities all over the world, from the UK's Russell Group to the Ivy League, and are accepted in more than 160 countries (Romania included!).

Assessment happens at the end of the course and can include written papers, oral exams, coursework and practical work. A level results are graded from A* to E, with A* being the highest.

Huge congratulations, Sofia, for the results obtained at AS Levels! 🎉

Cambridge AS Levels are taken at the end of Year 12. They can stand on their own as a one-year qualification, or count as the first half of the two-year A Level programme. Students usually choose 3 or 4 subjects and study them thoroughly, so they can start focusing on the direction they want to take at university.

Assessment happens at the end of the course and can include written papers, oral exams, coursework and practical work. AS Level results are graded from a to e, with a being the highest.

This week's science lesson turned the class into a research team. They started with a prediction, picked up their tape measures and measured their arms, legs and heads carefully.

Thinking like a scientist runs through every Cambridge Primary Science lesson. Children learn to ask a clear question, test it fairly and explain their findings in their own words, in English, with plenty of hands-on work along the way! 🔎

Last week we opened the year with our very first Community Assembly, and it was wonderful to see so many parents in the room with us! ⭐

Community Assembly is one of the traditions that sits at the heart of a Cambridge school. 🇬🇧 It is a moment when the whole school gathers, students, teachers and families, to share what has been happening in classrooms, to celebrate small wins, and to reflect together on the values that shape our learning.

In the Cambridge approach we talk often about the learner attributes: confident, responsible, reflective, innovative and engaged. Assembly is where those attributes come to life!

Congratulations, Ana! 🤩

This summer she sat her Cambridge IGCSEs, the world's most popular international qualification for 14 to 16 year olds, taken at the end of Year 11.

The exam is recognised by universities and employers in more than 160 countries. IGCSEs are graded from A* to G, with A* being the highest.

Assessment takes place at the end of the course and includes written, oral, coursework and practical work.

She achieved a remarkable result and a foundation to be proud of!
