In the second activity of our eTwinning project, the students watched a video about environmental protection, after which we discussed the methods of reducing and reusing presented in the film. The children understood how important everyday choices are for reducing waste and protecting natural resources.

To turn these ideas into real commitments, the students created a “Tree of Promises”, each adding a leaf with a personal pledge for more environmentally responsible behavior.

At the end, the students completed a practical worksheet that helped them reflect on their own habits:
🗑️ Weekly Waste Monitoring – monitoring the waste they produce during a week
♻️ What could I reduce? – what they can reduce
🔄 What can I reuse? – what they can reuse
🎨 Creative Reuse Ideas – creative ideas for reusing materials

It was an educational and motivating activity that helped students understand how small actions can contribute to protecting the environment. 💚

The students of BOZKUŞ SECONDARY SCHOOL-TÜRKİYE (coordinating by teacher Ümran Çelt)has been carried out the first month activities of E-twinning project "3R HEROES- REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE for a greener future"
*They watched videos about reducing waste.
*They monitored the waste they threw away for one week. And they wrote
☆ what could I reduce?
☆what could I reuse?
☆Creative Reuse Ideas
Using the waste they collected, write ideas for giving new life to old materials. What new objects could they create?

This month, the students of Școala Gimnazială Nr. 26 continued their work in the 3R Heroes – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle project, exploring how small everyday decisions can contribute to a cleaner and more responsible environment. They began by monitoring the waste they produced throughout an entire week, paying close attention to the objects they threw away and reflecting on what they could reduce and what they might reuse in the future. This simple exercise helped them become more aware of their own habits and encouraged thoughtful discussions about sustainability.
Building on these observations, the students then created imaginative proposals for giving new life to the materials they had collected. Paper, bottles, cardboard and fabric became sources of inspiration for objects that could be repurposed, redesigned or transformed. Their ideas revealed creativity, curiosity and a sincere wish to protect the environment by rethinking the purpose of everyday items.
The learning process continued with the viewing of short educational videos about waste reduction. After watching, the students wrote down the main ideas they understood, reflecting on the importance of making responsible choices and on the global impact of individual actions. These reflections helped them connect what they learned to their own daily routines and inspired them to consider new ways of reducing waste at home and at school.
This month, our students demonstrated that awareness, creativity and collaboration can transform simple tasks into meaningful steps toward sustainability. They continue to grow as 3R Heroes, ready to inspire others through their commitment to caring for our planet.
