BUCHAREST EGYPTOLOGICAL STUDIES (BES) 1/2025 has finally been released!!!
It is with great pride, joy, and honour that I announce the long-awaited publication of a new scholarly research journal in Egyptology: Bucharest Egyptological Studies (BES 1/2025). This volume represents the first Egyptological publication from Romania to appear with a prestigious international publisher specialising in Egyptology, namely KEMET Edizioni, based in Trieste, Italy.
I am deeply grateful to all those who believed in this project and contributed to its realisation. First and foremost, this endeavour was made possible by the contributors who initially submitted abstracts and, above all, the full-length articles that we were delighted to publish. I would like to express my sincere thanks to Graciela Gestoso Singer, Simone Petacchi, and Mouhamadou Nissir Sarr.
I am equally thankful to Susanna Moser and Carlo Ruo Redda, the distinguished editors who recognised this Egyptological project as worthy of publication and supported it with the highest professional standards.
My gratitude also extends to the members of the Scientific Committee, namely to Professor Dr. habil. Joanna Popielska-Grybowska, Dr Giorgia Cafici, and, of course, Susanna Moser, who reviewed the volume and authorised the completion and publication of the first issue of BES.
So, at present, we warmly invite submissions from all Egyptologists and interdisciplinary researchers interested in contributing to Bucharest Egyptological Studies (BES) 2/2026!!!
