I am glad to see this important step forward for cultural heritage science: DGDC–MiC, CNR ISPC, and E-RIHS ERIC have signed a strategic agreement to strengthen collaboration, digital tools, and AI-driven approaches for heritage research and preservation.
This initiative reinforces European synergies and contributes to key infrastructures such as the Cultural Heritage Data Space, ECCCH, and EOSC. I truly hope it will also create meaningful opportunities for Romanian scientists and further integrate our community into these evolving frameworks.

ChemCH 2026, the 8th Edition! As the conference goes on successfully and colleagues discuss a shared passion, it is hard not to notice Romania's absence from this edition. This absence isn't just logistical; it signals a deeper fragility in the continuity of efforts that have taken years of commitment, coordination, and belief to build.
For me personally, this is the first time I am unable to attend, after many editions dedicated to contributing to and strengthening a network of chemists and cultural heritage professionals in Romania, often under challenging conditions. It is therefore both a professional and emotional moment of reflection.
We are reminded, perhaps too clearly, that “ce se construiește cu greu se dărâmă ușor.” In many ways, we find ourselves in a present-day echo of the Manole legend: continuous effort, sacrifice, and rebuilding, often under unstable circumstances.
I remain confident, however, that the foundations laid over time are not lost and that future editions of ChemCH will see renewed participation and stronger connections.

SCURT RAPORT ACTIVITATE 2025 - ASOCIAȚIA i-CON
O poveste despre schimbare în bine

Din 2025, Asociația i-CON derulează proiectul Erasmus+ și a dat viață unui vis: 3 oameni îndrăgostiți de patrimoniul local au călătorit în Italia pentru a-și perfecționa expertiza în promovarea turismului rural la Vaideeni, iar acum pun în practică instrumentele necesare pentru formarea unei noi generații de profesioniști. Prin 2 workshopuri transformatoare, am reunit cei mai pasionați conservatori, restauratori și cercetători din București și din țară, împărtășindu-le metode optice moderne care documentează și păstrează memoria ancestrală a patrimoniului. Pasiunea noastră pentru valorizarea patrimoniului s-a transpus într-o victorie istorică: profesia de "Investigator Bunuri Culturale" acum oficial recunoscută în COR, deschizând ușa tinerei generații către o carieră în acest domeniu care poate schimba în bine totul, o comunitate, o țară, o lume. Finanțarea de 3,5% va permite acestui curent de schimbare să se amplifice și să confirme locul României pe hartă europeană a cercetării moștenirii noastre culturale.

Semnificație: Nu vorbim doar despre cifre, ci despre viitorul patrimoniului nostru, despre toți cei dispuși să își pună cunoașterea, știința și pasiunea în slujba patrimoniului cultural.
