All children in Acorns follow a wide and varied programme of learning, known in England as the "Early Years Foundation Stage“. The older children follow Year 1 of the National Curriculum of England and Wales

🌰 A new year at ACORNS begins with strong roots.

This week, our team came together for our annual ACORNS Induction — a time to reconnect, reflect and prepare for another year of growing better every day.

We began the week with a session led by Valentina Secară, General Manager, exploring our theme for the year: REFINEMENT. 💎

Refinement is not about becoming more. It is about becoming more intentional — looking carefully at what we already do well, deciding what truly matters, and finding ways to make it even stronger.

Together, we revisited who we are, what we stand for and what we are refining towards, while looking at how ownership, accountability and professional growth can shape the year ahead.

We then turned our attention to one of our most important responsibilities: keeping children safe.

Our Safeguarding & Child Protection refresher, led by Ian Tilling, Safeguarding Governor, reminded us that safeguarding is not simply a policy or procedure. It is an active mindset, every single day, and a responsibility shared by every member of our team.

It was a week of learning, reflection and honest conversations — strengthening our roots so that we can continue to create the best possible environment for children to grow.

Strong roots. Higher standards. Greater impact.

Here’s to a new year at ACORNS — and to continuing to grow better, refine and make what matters shine. 🌱

🎓 Graduation is more than a ceremony. It's a foundation for life.

At Acorns Nursery, graduation isn't about reaching the end—it's about celebrating everything that has been built along the way.

The early years are where confidence begins, curiosity grows, friendships blossom, and resilience takes root. These are the foundations that matter most, because they shape not only how children learn, but who they become.

Every question asked, every tower rebuilt after it fell, every story shared, every challenge overcome, every act of kindness, and every moment of joyful discovery contributes to something much bigger than academic success.

By the time our children graduate, they leave with far more than knowledge. They leave believing in themselves. They know how to collaborate, solve problems, express their ideas, care for others, and approach the world with curiosity and confidence.

These are the skills that cannot be measured by a certificate, yet they are the ones that will support every future success.

✨ The Star of the Zoo 🌿🦁⭐

This year's Shiny Stars Summer Show took us on a wonderful adventure through the zoo, where every animal hoped to become The Star of the Zoo.

As the story unfolded, the children discovered an important lesson: being the "star" isn't about being the loudest, the fastest, or the strongest. It's about kindness, helping others, celebrating our unique qualities, and shining together.

Watching our Shiny Stars perform with such confidence, joy, and enthusiasm reminded us that every child has their own special talents and their own way of making the world brighter. 💛

🌈✈️ "We're all going on a summer Holiday"... well, on stage at least!

Following our wonderful performance last Fridau at Acorns Aviatiei, our brilliant children took us on a dream journey around the world for this year’s Summer Show theme!

Guided by our tourist and travel agent, we traveled through Spain, Asia, a wild safari, and tropical beaches. It gave us the perfect taste of summer, but for now, we are still enjoying our final weeks of fun and learning together at school! ❤️

✨ "The perfect holiday is being with the people you love!" ✨

Our amazing Rainbows took us on a spectacular "Holiday Hunt" for their Summer Show at the beautiful Popa Soare location! ✈️🎈 From dancing the Carnival in Brazil 🇧🇷 and eating churros in Spain 🇪🇸, to dodging oranges in Italy 🇮🇹, exploring the sandy dunes of Asia 🐪, and surfing in Tahiti 🇵🇫... The explorer finally found the best destination of all: right here together with friends and family! ❤️

"You do you and I do me! That's the way it was meant to be!" 🎶🌍Last Friday, our amazing Early Explorers Popa Soare took us on an unforgettable musical journey around the globe for their spectacular Summer Show!
We followed our brave Captain and trusty co-pilot on a special mission to help the Captain find her missing voice. From tasting delicious pizza in Italy 🇮🇹, dancing to Bamboleo in Spain 🇪🇸, creating art in France 🇫🇷, and exploring islands in Greece 🇬🇷, to celebrating with bright colors in India 🇮🇳, spicing up our lives in the UK 🇬🇧, and performing a stunning fan dance in China 🇨🇳—the children proved that our world is a beautiful rainbow! 🌈✨ By the end of the journey, our Captain learned that having a voice isn't about being the loudest—it’s about staying true to who you are: "You do you and I do me! That's the way it was meant to be!" 🎶❤️
