BILATERAL CULTURAL EXCHANGE SCHOLARSHIPS (CES) OFFERED BY THE GOVERNMENT OF CHINA FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR-2018
Please read the following details carefully:
CES-2018 candidates will receive the confirmation emails today or tomorrow.
For further information, contact IPC directly at the provided number or visit http://www.ipc.gov.pk/ because this time they may also upload all necessary information on its website.
IPC will contact up to 226 candidates via e-mail first and then they send hard copy of offer letters to you.After you are getting the emails then next phase is that,either you are applying to China or not,if you are not interested in Chinese scholarship then kindly inform IPC that we are not accepting this offer via email.The actual numbers of applicant may be less than the initial selected candidates,because some candidates are not interested in China.Lets Suppose 150 out of 226 are interested and they dispatch their documents to IPC then after receiving those documents IPC will forward all those documents of 150 candidates to China Embassy, Cultural wing Islamabad. We can say final selection will be from CSC office and they can select any one from principles as well as from alternate candidates. (Alternate candidates should also be hopeful for the scholarship)
The scholarship process is following:
1. The dispatching authority (IPC) selects candidates (on the basis of NTS merit) and forwards applications to host country (China)
2. The Applications are went through and processed by China Scholarship Council (CSC) for the eligibility criteria, and then hand over to the Universities written in as preferences by the candidates in the preference list (you can choice 3 universities of your preference).
(if the candidates already have the Pre-admission Notice, from the universities then you have to attach it with your documents, it will further help CSC for university allocation). Some university give pre-admission Notice ,if you are contacting with your choice university,may be they can give you this pre-admission notice,for further detail you can check studyinchina.edu.cn for more detail, you can also check HUST Wuhan and Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, Dalian china website for pre-admission notice procedure http://iiclc.dufe.edu.cn , also other universities give pre-admission notice but you will send them your documents and also the offer letter or email which you have received from the IPC (But you to get registered on university website then upload your documents then you have to request for pre-admission notice), after two to three days they can give you reply (You can also take help of your relatives and friends in China in this for getting this pre-admission notice), by this way you can be selected in your choice university otherwise CSC can select you in any one university besides your three selected universities in the form. We suggest you that first get a pre-admission notice from a good university and then send your documents to IPC along with that pre-admission notice (In this letter it is mentioned by the respective university, if the said candidates get scholarship from CSC then we are ready to give him admission, its just a provisional admission letter)
3. The applications are checked by the Universities that selects most appropriate students based on the academics, previous research experience etc.
4. Later, the universities send selected candidates’ information to related Visa office for issuance of visa invitation documents (Usually in JULY or August month).
5. Later on the universities dispatch all the documents to the CSC, that forwards to Chinese embassies in the guest countries (e.g., Pakistan), that hand over to the dispatching authorities (e.g., IPC in the first week of August). The authority then delivers the document packages on the address of the selected candidates including all the instructions for preparation of all relevant documents.(You can make your Wechat or whats app group and can contact with each other about the updates of your admission)
6. When CSC send the selected candidates names lists to universities then, those universities and some time supervisor can contact with selected students in their respective university/departments (mostly in June or July month).
Important points for selected candidates:
It is to be noted that the candidates should prepare the documents in the following manner in order to save their valuable time:
1. The candidates are awarded scholarship on the basis of NTS score.
2. They are shortlisted for the scholarship program as Principle / Alternate Candidate.
3. Govt. of China is the Host country for the awarding CES.
4. Monthly allowance: (Master's students: 3000 CNY/month; Ph.D. students: 3500 CNY/month) as per revised notification by Ministry of Education (MOE) China.
Please Note: Monthly allowance mentioned in the IPC email is old, and it has been revised and increased as mentioned above.
-=> Please do not ask us again and again about the confirmation of allowance, as it has been mentioned above.
