Honored to share that my project “Soft Architecture” received a Certificate of Excellence at Susfuture Design Week 2026, held at the University of Novi Sad, Serbia.
The project was presented within the International Sustainable Design Exhibition “Symbiotic Future” and is part of my doctoral research at the National University of Arts Bucharest, under the coordination of conf. univ. dr. habil. Dorina Horatau.
“Soft Architecture” explores sustainable and experimental approaches in fashion design through subtraction cutting, geometric structures, and origami-inspired textile manipulation.
The dress was developed through subtraction cutting research under the guidance of mentor Julian Roberts (University of Portsmouth London), while the jacket investigates geometric folds and vortex origami techniques inspired by the work of Japanese designer and educator Shingo Sato.
Grateful to the SUSFUTURE Design Week organizing committee, the international jury, collaborators, students, and everyone supporting research and innovation in sustainable fashion and design.

It represents one of the creative possibilities we are starting to explore through CLO3D and digital fashion workflows.

Over the past years, I’ve been focused on building strong foundations in fashion design, from pattern making to creative development.
But the industry is evolving. Fast.
And one of the biggest shifts right now is happening in digital fashion and 3D design.
This is why I’m currently developing a new collaboration between TR Fashion Academy and an international platform specialized in digital tools and CLO3D training, 3D Design Center, featuring lecturer Valentina Kozhevina.

Liliana Rus, Mastery in Progress ✨
A very talented and determined designer, Liliana has successfully completed the Dress Module within the TR Fashion Academy Mastermind Program, going beyond expectations with an additional bonused corset construction project.

One of my Grade 12 students in Shanghai won 3rd place at China Cup with her Crab-inspired concept, a project developed from idea to final outfit.
The experience was part of the wider context around Shanghai Fashion Week, where young designers had the chance to present their work and connect with the industry.
