Sometimes one of the most important things in our journey is who we have the opportunity to learn from.
Looking at this photo, I realise how many years, experiences and creative adventures are behind us.

I have been working with Shingo Sato since 2014, and with Julian Roberts since 2018.

Since 2018, I have also had the honour of organising workshops and creative experiences together with them.

Over the years, we have worked together in Romania, Türkiye, Greece and China, meeting designers, students and creatives who wanted to explore fashion construction beyond the conventional approach.

Each workshop has been different. Each group has brought new ideas and energy. And for me personally, these collaborations have meant years of learning, experimentation, challenges and creative growth.

And now, another creative adventure is about to begin. 🇹🇷

A day dedicated to exploring volume, space, openings and unexpected possibilities that emerge when you start thinking about garment construction from a completely different perspective.

✂️ 1-2 September - Shingo Sato
We will explore Bamboo Pleats and develop experimental applications for:
- sculptural trousers
- tops and sleeve variations
- tote bags
- and other possibilities for transformation and garment construction
This is about understanding the process, experimenting, and then taking these ideas further into our design direction and future collections.

There are only a few days left until we meet in Istanbul, and we are still accepting registrations.

La final de august te așteptăm la pentru un eveniment dedicat creativității, experimentului și inovației în fashion.

Dacă simți că ai ajuns într-un punct în care creezi mereu după aceleași reguli și îți dorești o perspectivă nouă, acest workshop este pentru tine.

Tehnicile pe care le vom explora nu sunt doar exerciții de atelier. Ele pot fi dezvoltate și integrate în propriile colecții, oferindu-ți o abordare diferită față de construcția vestimentară clasică.

Vei învăța să privești tiparul dintr-o altă perspectivă, să găsești soluții la provocările creative și să transformi ideile în piese originale, cu o identitate proprie. Într-o industrie în care diferențierea este esențială, astfel de metode pot deveni un element definitoriu al stilului tău de creație.

Honored to share that my project “Soft Architecture” received a Certificate of Excellence at Susfuture Design Week 2026, held at the University of Novi Sad, Serbia.

The project was presented within the International Sustainable Design Exhibition “Symbiotic Future” and is part of my doctoral research at the National University of Arts Bucharest, under the coordination of conf. univ. dr. habil. Dorina Horatau.

“Soft Architecture” explores sustainable and experimental approaches in fashion design through subtraction cutting, geometric structures, and origami-inspired textile manipulation.

The dress was developed through subtraction cutting research under the guidance of mentor Julian Roberts (University of Portsmouth London), while the jacket investigates geometric folds and vortex origami techniques inspired by the work of Japanese designer and educator Shingo Sato.

Grateful to the SUSFUTURE Design Week organizing committee, the international jury, collaborators, students, and everyone supporting research and innovation in sustainable fashion and design.

Imagine being able to visualize a garment on a moving digital avatar before production even begins.

This project was developed by TR Master Valentina Kozhevina, CLO3D trainer and collaborator within the new digital fashion direction created through the collaboration between Kazan Design Center and TR Fashion Academy.

It represents one of the creative possibilities we are starting to explore through CLO3D and digital fashion workflows.
