Creative Recycling Meets Cultural Exchange in Erasmus+ Project
Students from Romania, Turkey, and Hungary took part in the Erasmus+ project Dance of Recycling with Art, an initiative that combined environmental education with artistic creativity. Hosted across multiple partner schools, the project challenged participants to repurpose waste materials—such as paper and textiles—into meaningful works of art. Through hands-on workshops, logo design, exhibitions, and collaborative crafting, students explored the power of sustainability while strengthening their artistic skills.
A highlight of the project was the international exchange experience, with students travelling to Budapest and Izmir to meet their peers. Hosting schools, Budapesti Gepeszeti Szakkepzesi Centrum Mechatronikai Technikum, Söke American Culture College and Liceul Tehnologic „Theodor Pallady” offered a warm welcome and creative learning environments. Students forged cross-cultural friendships, shared artistic techniques, and discovered new traditions. For many, it was their first time abroad, and they returned with unforgettable memories and increased confidence in communication and collaboration.
Back at home, students were equally engaged, contributing through visual design, organization of local exhibits, and support for visiting guests. The project was a celebration of shared creativity, environmental awareness, and unity. As students reflected on their experiences, one theme echoed strongly: art has the power to connect people and inspire change—no matter where they come from.
