Every day is unique, has its rollercoaster of emotions as we all know, especially in teaching, and last Thursday was one of those days that made me realize once more β those beautiful little things which sometimes remain unnoticed are the ones which create the magic that brings us joy!
Five minutes before the class, one of my students, a third grader, comes to me and tells me that out of all the English teachers heβd had, I was his favourite one! Of course this put a huge smile on my face.
I smiled and hugged him.
I thanked him for the words, the meaning behind them and for the way in which he decided to share that with me: politely, straight-forward, calmly and yet full of emotion.
Then a train of thoughts started flowing in my head.
How many of us did this?
How many of you went straight to your favourite teachers and told them that you appreciated them for whatever reason?
It can mean the world to them or just make their day, but it matters a lot!
Have you ever had a favourite teacher? If yes, who and why? π©π»βπ«
