On Sunday afternoon, a blissful experience of playback theatre online!
The 5th and last online workshop of the BPA post-conference:
PLAYBACK THEATRE ONLINE - A WORKSHOP with DIANE ADDERLEY on Zoom, on Jul. 17th, 2022, from 16.00 to 19.00 BST (3 hours)
https://www.psychodrama.org.uk/product/2022-bpa-post-conference-online-workshop-5-da/
Suitable for playbackers and those new to the form.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, many playback theatre companies around the world have performed online. You may have seen Playback Theatre Manchester (founded in 1992) performing at the closing of the 2021 BPA Online conference.
We have, of course, had to adapt. We are no longer together in a space â actors, conductor, musicians or audience: we are all in our individual little zoom snapshots, in our own environments. How is it possible for us to be âtogetherâ in our creative attempts to tell each otherâs stories?
Although the conference proper has finished, this online workshop (it will not be a performance) will take the theme of the conference âEmbracing Belonging, Holding Differenceâ as our topic for the stories and moments we will tell, as we learn to express them in a some of the forms that playback companies have developed over the last two years.
DIANE ADDERLEY
In addition to being a psychodramatist and senior sociodrama trainer, is an Accredited Playback Theatre Trainer, being on the faculty of the UK School of Playback Theatre. With the Manchester company, she has performed online for the BPA, for various celebrations and for counselling groups at Salford University throughout the pandemic period. Her group is now getting back to live performance.

The 4th online workshop of the BPA post-conference:
EXPERIENCE OF THE SOCIODRAMATIC WORK IN RUSSIA DURING THE EVENTS OF 2022 with PAVEL KORNIENKO on Zoom, on Jul. 16th, 2022, from 14.30 to 17.30 BST (3 hours)
https://www.psychodrama.org.uk/product/2022-bpa-post-conference-online-workshop-4-pk/
At the workshop I want to share my experience of conducting face-to-face and online sociodramatic workshops for group participants in Russia during the events of Spring 2022. The main tools in this work were psychodramatic role-playing and stepping into the roles of others. I will tell about the good effects that we were able to do for the participants of the groups in this work. And also, I will open up my vision of tasks, purposes and phases in such work. As a result of the reflection on the work done I will make a brief guideline that can be useful in working with social crises such as the one currently occurring in Russia. At the workshop we will do a few of the most interesting group sociodramatic exercises from this work.
PAVEL KORNIENKO
Pavel Kornienko (Moscow, Russia) â psychologist, psychodramatist, psychodrama trainer and supervisor. Member of IAGP. Head and lead trainer of long-term professional psychodrama education in Moscow, Ryazan, Yaroslavl, Ufa (Russia), Chisinau (Moldova) and other cities. Head of the Psychodrama School âContemporary Psychodrama Workshopâ (Moscow).

https://www.psychodrama.org.uk/product/2022-bpa-post-conference-online-workshop-3-rw/
We pass from adolescence through young adult hood to middle age to old age and our social roles change as we do so from teenager to student to worker to possible parent and grandparent and pensioner.
At each stage we might have a variety of sub roles â tearaway delinquent â and each of the social roles can be played in a variety of different ways â punitive/lax/indifferent/positive etc. parent.
In this session we will provide space for you to explore a variety of different social roles and some of the societal pressures that influence them.

2 days to go to Jacomien's sociometry online workshop on July 14th!
Online workshop SOCIOMETRY: A DEVELOPMENTAL APPROACH TO CREATE BELONGING with Jacomien Ilbrink on Zoom, on Jul. 14th, 2022, from 17.00 to 20.00 (3 hours)
https://www.psychodrama.org.uk/product/2022-bpa-post-conference-online-workshop-2-ji/
Working with sociometry and especially action sociograms (hand on shoulder sociometry) using Morenoâs developmental theory, can be helpful to instill a sense of belonging to the group, which safe guards deep work in the group. We learn to appreciate differences by facing and challenging our own social/cultural âmake-upâ. In this workshop we will demonstrate first steps of how to work with this approach, as well as demonstrating sociometric work online, in mimicking a life situation.
JACOMIEN ILBRINK
Jacomien Ilbrink is a creative arts therapist, CP, PAT and has extensive experience in teaching working with sociometry both life and online.

2 days to go!
Online Workshop FEARLESNESS with Olivia Lousada - July 13th 2022, from 19.30 to 21.30 (2 hours), on Zoom - ÂŁ35
https://www.psychodrama.org.uk/product/2022-bpa-post-conference-online-workshop-1-ol/
A workshop about what is beyond and what that means to each of
us, in our daily living, our environmental times, our futures, and how
we are searching to expand ourselves.
OLIVIA LOUSADA
I worked in schools, social work and psychiatric hospitals for 30 years.
I have loved doing socio/psychodrama. I find it so flexible to different contexts.
My last major new endeavour was my use of psychodrama in my doctorate,
that can now be seen at www.hiddentwins.com, or in the book, Hiddentwins.
I still have a private practice.
At present I am trying to support the Tearfund Charity by learning and preparing
to perform on the violin in October. Action methods have assisted me in tackling how to learn what I do not know.
I then intend to develop a death cafe, in which socio/psychodrama will be invaluable.
My experience as a psycho/sociodramatist is informing my participation in communities I have
moved into in the last two years. This is new to me. I am learning about fearlessness. This flexibility seems imperative to our futures in these times of change.
*Members who joined the WHOLE conference can register for the Post-conference Online workshops FREELY. Please email us at [email protected] to get the promo code in case you didnât receive it yet.

CHRIS ANDREWS | SOCIODRAMA AND SOCIAL REPAIR: RECONNECTING AFTER LOCKDOWN
- on-stage workshop on July 9th, 2022
- from 14.00 to 16.00 BST
- at the Sheffield University
For 2 years, people across the world experienced long periods of disconnection and isolation from each other. Cut off from our communities, workplaces, friends and extended families, lockdown led to high levels of mental health problems and social anxiety. As we emerge from confinement, we are faced with the challenge of reconnecting with each other at a time of fractured relationships and social division. Using a sociodramatic approach, his workshop will explore how we meet this challenge.
ABOUT CHRIS ANDREWS
I am trained in both psychodrama and sociodrama and am also a sociodrama trainer. I work within the NHS, private practice and also contribute to facilitating workshops at the London Centre for Psychodrama. I have a background as a social campaigner, and have worked with groups, teams, student groups and communities for the past 30 years. I believe wholeheartedly in psychodrama and sociodrama as powerful tools in our attempts to understand and heal, both individually and collectively as a society.
