It was a privilege to take part in the International Symposium on professional experiences in teaching Romanian as a foreign language. Artificial intelligence: do we still need to think? ⚡

This April 8, the new issue of UNESCO Courier explores how AI is reshaping the way we learn, teach and make sense of the world.

Opening the issue, Professor Wayne Holmes challenges one of the biggest assumptions of our time: if AI can do more and more for us, what remains for human learning?

From classrooms in Argentina, Sweden and the UAE, to conversations with parents in India, this issue takes you on a global journey through education in the age of AI. It also questions how language learning is evolving — and why the dominance of certain languages in AI systems may deepen existing inequalities.
