Posted • I didn't invent bleach colored veneers. Most doctors make them. We constantly get comments that our teeth are too white and some are well founded. We always try to tell our patients that natural colors will look better but 95% of them don't listen to our advice and go for bleach. As long as the prep is right, the adaptation and bite are correct and the cemmentation process is done right the patient should be all right. In this particular case the patient chose a natural color which is a joy for me. We are able to show our beautifull natural cases. Critics will say we should have done ortho but the discussion is long and I have already made clarifications.

Amelogenesis imperfecta is a disorder of tooth development. This condition causes teeth to be unusually small , discolored, pitted or grooved, and prone to rapid wear and breakage.

Abfraction, abrasion, erosion and attrition all involve some tooth damage, but at different locations on the tooth

1-Abfraction

Abfraction is a wedge-shaped flaw on the tooth at the point it meets the gumline.
It’s caused by friction and pressure on the tooth and gums.

2-Abrasion

Abrasion is likely to be found on the teeth closest to your cheeks. Abrasion is caused by friction from foreign objects, such as pencils, fingernails, or mouth piercings.

3-Erosion

Erosion is the general wearing away of tooth enamel. erosion is more of a chemical process, happening on the surface and subsurface of the teeth. It’s caused by high acid levels in the saliva(drinks, food…).

4-Attrition

Dental attrition is a type of tooth wear caused by tooth-to-tooth contact, resulting in loss of tooth tissue, usually starting at the incisal or occlusal surfaces.
