Brasov Toastmasters Club

Brasov Toastmasters Club We are a Toastmasters club, which means we are committed to helping each other develop communication and leadership skills. Our meetings are in English.

We provide a supportive learn-by-doing environment where our members have the opportunity to improve themselves through continuous practice. This learning is made even more effective by the way feedback is incorporated throughout our meetings.

Last week, our Toastmaster of the Evening took us on a journey back in time—to our school years. We weren’t given any homework, but we were invited to share memories from our days as students.
Mara was voted Best Table Topics Speaker and received the evening’s highly coveted prize!

We were also captivated by the prepared speech, “One Moment. One Surprise. A Lifetime Memory.” It transported us into a reflective state and reminded us that true joy can be found in life’s little details and small gestures.

We were delighted to see one another again, share laughter, and leave the meeting with wonderful memories and valuable new experience.

A big thank you to Teatrul De Buzunar for providing us with this wonderful venue!

What do karate, two kittens, and logical fallacies have in common? They all came up at our Tuesday meeting at Brașov Toastmasters! 😊
🎤 Teo delivered her Ice Breaker, giving us a glimpse into her life: a karate medal, two kittens, and two jobs. Plenty of stories to get us curious!
🧠 Victor explored logical fallacies and showed us how even absurd ideas can sound convincing. A good reminder to look beyond a confident delivery and ask whether an argument actually makes sense.
🏆 Our Table Topics winner, Oana, took on a big question: can unlimited money bring happiness? Congratulations, Oana!
🌱 Mara told us about two mentors who have made a difference in her life, reminding us how much we can learn from the people around us.
Thank you to everyone who spoke, listened, encouraged, and helped make the evening so warm. It’s the people who make these Tuesdays special and Big thanks for Teatrul De Buzunar to host us. 💛

Last Tuesday, we even learned a few things we might have preferred not to know about dinosaurs. 🙂 We listened to two prepared speeches—one about dark humor and one inspirational speech—followed by an engaging Table Topics session.
We laughed, learned something new, enjoyed our time together, and ended the meeting with a group photo featuring the dinosaurs we had at our disposal. 🦖🦕

Hello, friends! 🎬
Tuesday’s Toastmasters meeting was truly special as we immersed ourselves in the world of “Blockbusters.” The meeting was thoughtfully prepared by Tudor Ruxanda.
Mara Bădiță delivered a prepared speech, exploring the powerful role facial expressions play in communication.
We also held an induction ceremony. A warm welcome and congratulations to our newest member, Evghenia Orășanu! 🎉
William Anderson led the Table Topics session with a series of exceptional questions. Congratulations to our Table Topics winner, Alex Voicu-Vulcănean, who described an unforgettable scene from his life!
We were also delighted to welcome guest Toastmaster Răzvan Horațiu, who gave us a useful training session on how to write a story in just six words. His positive feedback encouraged us to keep progressing and enjoy every step of the journey.

Another meeting is done! Funny, dynamic, warm, and friendly.
Our Toastmaster, Alex, taught us how to find a balance between what we want and what we need. The topic of the evening was "Living Below Your Means."
Florin amazed us with his magic tricks, made us laugh, and helped us organize our thoughts. He has already delivered his third speech! Your constant effort inspires and impresses us.
The winner of the Table Topics session was our president, Tudor. He shared a childhood story about taking responsibility for your life and earning your own money.
We were also happy to welcome many guests, and we hope to see them again soon!
