We invite passionate candidates to apply for Transylvania International Film Academy, with the theme Sensory Immersion in Transylvania - Film and Anthropology by Practice, answering the creative needs of our AI infused time.
Transylvania International Film Academy is a uniquely Immersive Experience that bridges Documentary, Docu-Fiction and Social Sciences in Sibiu, Romania, during 2 sessions of 8 days, between the 24th of August and the 7th of September 2024.
The practical needs of present and future humanity proved that best-practice Visual Anthropology and Human Centric Sciences tremendously enrich high-quality Cinema and Video Storytelling skillsets, as much as the other way around.
The off-line program is completed by on-line post-production sessions. During the Cineimpact Summer Film Academy, successful applicants learn to optimally create new projects or develop existing documentary/hybrid films. They are guided into a transdisciplinary method that explores the complementary relationships between Cinema and Social Sciences, Documentary Filmmaking and Visual Anthropology, Non-Fiction Transmedia and Video Art. Those selected will benefit from a personalized preparatory phase of the Learning and Social Experience on-site.
