"My Values Shape My Identity" Project 2025–26- AWARD

The "My Values Shape My Identity" Project 2025–26, initiated by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, was successfully implemented in the forenoon section across all levels. The project focused on instilling moral values, developing positive character traits, and helping students build a strong sense of identity through meaningful and engaging activities.

Throughout the academic year, students enthusiastically participated in a wide range of value-based activities that promoted responsibility, respect, empathy, integrity, and citizenship. These activities provided opportunities for students to reflect on their values and apply them in their daily lives, contributing to their holistic development.

In recognition of the successful implementation of the project and the quality of activities conducted, the forenoon section received the Silver Award (FN Section) and Bronze Award (AN Section) from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education on 3 June 2026. This achievement stands as a testament to the collective efforts of students, teachers, coordinators, and academic leaders.

A special note of appreciation is extended to the Activity Coordinators, whose dedication, creativity, and commitment played a pivotal role in the success of the project. Ms. Roshini (Foundational Section -FN), Ms. Nazia Tahseen (Preparatory Section-FN), Ms. Soumya Mathew (Middle & Secondary Section-FN), Mash*ta (Preparatory Section-AN) and Liji Abdulla (Preparatory, Middle & Secondary Section-AN) meticulously planned, organized, monitored, and documented the activities throughout the year. Their efforts in engaging students, coordinating with teachers, and maintaining high standards of implementation were highly appreciated by the school management. The recognition received by the school reflects their hard work, leadership, and unwavering commitment to value-based education.

✨ Little Activities, Lifelong Skills ✨

In our Afternoon Shift – Foundational Section 🌈, every activity is a stepping stone towards independence, creativity, and character building.

📦 KG 1 explored Opening and Closing Boxes — developing hand-eye coordination, concentration, and problem-solving skills through simple everyday tasks.

🌾 KG 2 practiced Pouring Grains Using a Funnel — a wonderful exercise in precision, patience, and fine motor control while having fun with hands-on learning.

🎨 Grade 1 enjoyed a Paper Collage Activity — transforming simple pieces of paper into creative masterpieces while nurturing imagination, focus, and artistic expression.

💖 Grade 2 embraced kindness through their Kindness Calendar — discovering that small acts of care, respect, and compassion can make a big difference every day.

Because the best learning happens when little hands are busy, curious minds are engaged, and kind hearts are growing. 🌟

World Environment Day 2026: Eco Parliament (AN)

‘Eco Parliament – Young Minds for a Greener Future’ was successfully conducted for the Middle Section in observance of World Environment Day 2026. Organized by the Social Science Department, the programme provided a meaningful platform for students to understand the significance of parliamentary democracy in addressing contemporary environmental challenges. Students assumed the roles of parliamentary leaders, ministers, and citizens, engaging in debates, policy discussions, and collaborative decision-making on environmental issues.

Through active participation, they demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, public speaking, and responsible citizenship. The Principal and Senior Headmaster inspired the participants through their encouraging remarks, while the Academic Supervisor and Academic Coordinators served as judges and appreciated the students’ performance.

Certificates of Excellence were presented for the following titles:
• Best Green Citizen Leadership – Sarang Sandeep
• Best Environmental Policy Maker – Vedha Sujith
• Best Parliamentary Participation – Fathima Shimrin

SIS TANK – Season 1: Innovation for Tomorrow’s World

The Commerce Department of Shantiniketan Indian School, Doha–Qatar, successfully organized SIS Tank – Season 1: Innovation for Tomorrow’s World on 7 June 2026, providing students with a dynamic platform to showcase innovation, entrepreneurship, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

The initiative was conceptualized by Ms. Ifra Khursheed, Head of the Commerce Department, and conducted in collaboration with Student X under the leadership of Mr. Rahul Rajendran, Founder of Student X and Personal Wealth Management Consultant. The programme was efficiently coordinated by Mr. Nirmal Dominic, along with the Commerce teachers and Class XII Commerce students. A total of 23 students presented innovative business ideas and creative solutions.

World Environment Day Celebration 2026 (AN)

The Departments of Science, Social Science, and Art successfully organized a series of activities to commemorate World Environment Day on 5 June 2026 at Shantiniketan Indian School, Doha (Afternoon Session).

Grades 1 and 2 celebrated World Environment Day through engaging, hands-on learning experiences that promoted environmental awareness and sustainability. Students explored the concept of “Best Out of Waste,” learned about the benefits of composting, identified eco-friendly and biodegradable materials, and understood their role in reducing pollution and supporting soil health. The celebration also included environmental vocabulary activities and seed identification exercises, helping children make meaningful connections between plants, soil, and sustainable living in an enjoyable and educational manner.

Students of Grades 3 to 5 actively participated in various activities, including the Environment Day Pledge, Poster Making, Nature Walk, and Plant Sapling Plantation. These activities helped promote environmental awareness, responsibility, and appreciation for nature among young learners.

SIS Shines at the CBSE Qatar Cluster Kho Kho Tournament!

Shantiniketan Indian School proudly celebrates the outstanding performance of its students at the CBSE Qatar Cluster Kho Kho Tournament for Boys and Girls, hosted by Bhavan's Public School. Competing in the Under-19 Girls and Under-17 Boys and Girls categories, our players displayed exceptional determination, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.

A special congratulations to our Under-19 Girls Team, who advanced to the semifinals and secured an impressive 3rd Position after a spirited contest against DPS-MIS. Quiz Glory for Shantiniketan Indian School!

Shantiniketan Indian School (FN) proudly added another feather to its cap by securing the Runner-Up Position in the 12th Edition of ENCUESTA 2026 – Inter School Quiz Competition, hosted by DPS Modern Indian School, Doha, on 04 June 2026.

The prestigious competition brought together students from leading schools across Qatar, challenging participants in areas of knowledge, critical thinking, presence of mind, and teamwork. Representing our school with distinction were Yahvi Udayakumar (Grade 6A), Rayyan Abdul Raheem (Grade 7B), and Aman Anoop (Grade 8C). Through their exceptional intellect, confidence, teamwork, and determination, the trio successfully navigated demanding rounds to emerge as Runner-Up among the participating schools.

World Environment Day 2026

Shantiniketan Indian School, Doha, observed World Environment Day 2026 on 4 June 2026 with great enthusiasm under the global theme “Climate Action.” Organized by the Department of Social Science, the celebration highlighted the urgent need to address climate change through responsible actions and sustainable practices.

Students actively participated in a range of creative and awareness-building activities. Grade 6 students showcased their talents through an Environmental Mask Making Activity, creating masks from recycled and eco-friendly materials to promote Earth conservation, wildlife protection, tree preservation, ocean life, and recycling. Grade 7 students presented “Future Under Attack: Live Warning Display,” using posters, placards, slogans, costumes, and role-plays to highlight global warming, plastic pollution, deforestation, water scarcity, and air pollution.
