QIS are proud to share the IGCSE results of our year 11 cohort, which are outstanding. What is even better is the progress that has been made by our students, with almost a grade progress being made from their CAT4 predictions to their actual IGCSE result. This level of progress places us in the top 5% of schools in the UK and Internationally using FFT (Fisher Family Trust data). Mathematics results, in particular were exceptional with value add placing the school in the top 2% of schools in the UK and Internationally using FFT.

This is a fantastic achievement that should be celebrated. Well done to our year 11 students, we are looking forward to what you can achieve for AS and A Level!

We are extremely proud of the results that have been achieved by our Year 12 and Year 13 students in their recent AS and A Level examinations. These results however do not show the full picture of what has been achieved by each of these students during their time at QIS, and the contribution that each and every one of them have made to our community. We congratulate them all on their successes, and the resilience that they have demonstrated over this past year in particularly difficult circumstances. We wish you all the best as you move onto the next stages of your studies!

With profound sadness, we mourn the passing of the Father Amir, His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. His visionary leadership played a defining role in shaping modern Qatar, leaving behind a legacy that will be remembered for generations.

Our heartfelt condolences go to His Highness the Amir, the Al Thani family, and the people of Qatar during this difficult time.

May Allah grant him the highest place in Jannah. Ameen.

It is with great sadness that we learn of the passing of Mr Govender, who dedicated 12 years of service to QIS as a valued member of the Secondary Mathematics Department.

Mr Govender’s commitment to education, his passion for mathematics, and the positive impact he had on countless students and colleagues will be remembered with gratitude and respect.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time. May they find strength, comfort, and peace in the memories they shared with him.

He will be deeply missed by the QIS community.

We are proud to announce a significant milestone in our commitment to student success in Qatar.
In partnership with the British Council, Qatar International School will now offer IELTS on Computer sessions directly on our campus—making access to world-class English proficiency testing more convenient than ever for our students.
The agreement was formally signed by Mr. Deane Baker, Executive Principal, in the presence of senior leadership teams from both organisations.
This collaboration reflects our shared vision of enhancing accessibility and empowering students to achieve their global ambitions. By bringing internationally recognised assessments closer to home, we are simplifying the pathway for our students as they prepare for their future academic and professional journeys.
We extend our sincere thanks to the British Council for their continued partnership and to our leadership team for their dedication to excellence.

A huge congratulations to all of our students who took part in this year’s Intermediate UKMT Challenge. We had over 60 students from Years 9, 10 and 11 participate, with students achieving a range of awards including Participation, Bronze, Silver and Gold certificates.

The UKMT competition encourages mathematical reasoning to solve interesting problems, with over 700,000 students from around 6000 schools competing each year.

A special mention goes out to the following students for their outstanding achievements :
