Watar Academy marked its anniversary with an official ceremony in Doha, reaffirming its position as a leading platform for music and performing arts within the Lebanese community in the State of Qatar.

The celebration was held in the distinguished presence of His Excellency Bilal Kabalan, Ambassador of the Lebanese Republic to Qatar, alongside prominent public figures, diplomats, cultural leaders, and representatives of the Lebanese community.

Since its founding in 2019, Watar Academy has evolved from an independent initiative into a recognized cultural institution dedicated to nurturing artistic excellence, preserving Lebanese identity abroad, and empowering a new generation of performers through structured training, major stage productions, and international participation.

The anniversary event showcased the Academy’s continued growth, professional standards, and expanding impact within the cultural landscape. It further highlighted Watar Academy’s commitment to strengthening cultural ties and elevating Lebanese artistic presence in Qatar.

This milestone stands as a testament to sustained vision, institutional discipline, and the unwavering support of students, families, partners, and community leaders.

They are about proving who you are.

What happened on that stage was not easy.
It was a long day.
Heavy hearts.
Tired bodies.
Moments of doubt.

But still… they danced.

They danced with discipline.
With courage.
With unity.

Second place is not a number.
It is the result of early mornings, late rehearsals,
of falling… and standing up again together.

To our dancers:
You carried responsibility bigger than your age.
You stood strong under pressure.
You represented Watar Academy with honor.
And today, we are proud—beyond words.

To our parents:
Thank you for your patience.
Thank you for waiting, trusting, believing.
Thank you for investing in your children’s passion, even when the journey was not easy.
This achievement is yours as much as it is theirs.

A heartfelt thank you to our committee parents,

You supported when it mattered most.
This moment carries your fingerprint.

حقّقت الطفلة اللبنانية فانيسا ماريو نعوم من أرده قضاء زغرتا إنجازًا مشرّفًا للبنان، بعد فوزها بالمرتبة الثالثة عالميًا في بطولة

Dance World cup التي أُقيمت في إسبانيا، بمشاركة آلاف المتسابقين من مختلف دول العالم.

فانيسا، التي تنتمي إلى أكاديمية “وتر”، أظهرت أداءً راقصًا مميزًا ومليئًا بالإحساس والاحتراف،

ما خوّلها الصعود إلى منصّة التتويج ورفع اسم لبنان عاليًا في محفل دوليّ.

هذا الإنجاز يأتي كتتويج للجهود الكبيرة التي بذلتها فانيسا مع مدرّبيها، ويعكس صورة مشرقة عن المواهب اللبنانية الناشئة في مجال الفنون.

Our end-of-year ceremony was nothing short of extraordinary. Our stage came alive with the sounds of Lebanon, as every student paid tribute to the timeless legends Fairouz and Ziad Rahbani. 🎶

From powerful live performances to the authentic voice-over of Ziad himself, the atmosphere was deeply nostalgic and beautifully real. At Watar, we believe our mission goes beyond teaching music — we strive to connect our students to their roots and let them live their heritage.
