WELCOME LETTER
Dear Student,
Introduction
Hebei North University河北北⽅方学院 (HBNU)'s motto is: "Exalt virtue, harbor ambition, focus on learning, perform creation.” HBNU derives its reputation and success from its early foundations, on-going research, and well-known international department. It is well known for its multi-cultural environment as it has trained over 40, 000 students from 75 different countries. The university has contributed greatly to provincial and national research for the past century. The university currently owns $13 billion worth of teaching and scientific research equipment. Research on micro-lymphatic circulation, surgical research, research on various types of carcinomas, as well as research in psychiatry and psychology, are currently taking place in the university’s research facilities. The University possess two affiliated hospitals, a library with over 1.4 million volumes, research facilities, 7 advanced laboratories in which provincial experiments are demonstrated, 80 stable internship hospitals, 90 farms and veterinary hospitals, and 90 teacher-training schools. The teaching and office complex occupies a total space of 80, 000 square meters. a new campus is currently being built which budgets around 300 million RMB in investments. HBNU has an honorable and impressive of staff of 150 professors, 450 associate professors.
The MBBS Program
The MBBS program is a six-year program including one-year compulsory internship, conducted on a semester basis with a total number of 10 semesters. There is an early introduction to clinical topics which provides a context for learning and makes studies more enjoyable and relevant. In the first two years’ students have to grasp the necessary knowledge which will be applied as they accompany general practitioners (GP) in consultation in higher years.

Accreditations
The medical degree awarded is recognized by WHO (World health organization) and Ministry of education in China. It is valid throughout the world and eligible for Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS), the Professional and Linguistic Assessment Board (PLAB) in the UK, the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) and GMC (General Medical Council). The University has invited many experienced medical professionals from all over the world to give a lectures or Doctor licensed examination preparation training. The Majority of the graduates are currently successful and licensed Doctors, A lot of them have successfully passed all levels of USMLE/PLAB exams and are building a future abroad. The instruction of the medical program is entirely in English. The program lasts six years. After completion of 5 years’ basic education, there is a compulsory 1 year-long internship which can be done in China, student’s home country, or anywhere in the world. Although the medium of instruction is English, international students will need to study the Chinese language in order to communicate with patients in the clinics. Intensive Chinese language courses will be held in the first two years of the program; students are then required to pass the HSK (Chinese language proficiency test)

Visa & Entry to China
Successful applicants are mailed the necessary documents needed to obtain JW202 (Student visa). As soon the as applicant receives the documents mailed, he/she must head to the nearest Chinese embassy and provide them with the following documents;
1. Applicant’s passport (Valid up to 6 months)
2. Original certificate of highest Diploma obtained.
3. Original Admission letter of the university.
4. Visa application form also known as the JW202 form
5. Original Foreigner Physical examination form
Do make sure that your passport, original letter of admission and documents are handed back to you after obtaining your student visa. Also, make sure that you bring those documents to China as you will need them to apply for permit visa after your arrival.
