The Social Work Program is driven by its mission of preparing students for entry-level generalist social work practice. The Social Work Program goals promulgate the meaning and purpose of professional generalist social workers who must be able to practice effectively within any given person-in-the environment context. The Psychology Program, on the other hand, prepares students to lead successful careers in Psychology including careers in teaching, research and clinical services and enables them to pursue their studies beyond the baccalaureate degree. The department offers a BA degree in Social Sciences to all its academic programs.
