First days at DESS are always special. 📸 Memories made, photos taken, and a few brave goodbyes at the gate.

Today we welcomed our newest students through the doors and reunited with familiar faces after a long summer break. There's nothing quite like the buzz of a new school year beginning!

We're so happy to have you all here in the DESS community, and we can't wait for a year full of learning, new friendships, and exciting adventures ahead.

It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of His Highness the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, a true visionary who transformed Qatar and left a lasting legacy across the region.

We remember with gratitude his special connection to DESS, having formally opened our school alongside Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 1979.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Emir and his family. Rest in peace, Your Highness. 🇶🇦

A huge thank you to the Friends of DESS for a wonderful Give Back Day!

The children were absolutely mesmerised by the amazing Fonzy and his magic shows - what a treat! ✨🎩

Give Back Day is the FOD's special way of saying thank you to our students and their families for all their incredible support throughout the year. Every ice lolly, pumpkin and pizza slice bought, every game played at the fair, and every rose and pin given to a teacher on Teacher Appreciation Day. It all makes such a difference! 🌹

And of course, there was an ice lolly to finish the day off perfectly!
