2026 PPO-Q BILLIARDS TOURNAMENT | CHAIRED BY IIEE-SQC

The 2026 PPOQ Billiards Tournament was successfully held on 07 August 2026 at the Qatar Bowling Center (QBC), Doha, State of Qatar, bringing together billiards enthusiasts and representatives from various professional organizations across Qatar.

Representing the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines, Inc. - State of Qatar Chapter (IIEE-SQC) were Engr. Oliver Cromwell R. Obguia, Engr. Marivic C. Araneta, Engr. Dwayne Stephen L. Espiritu, and Engr. Jorel Araneta. Among the IIEE-SQC representatives, Engr. Jorel Araneta delivered an impressive performance, advancing to the Quarter-Finals before being defeated by Engr. Joseph Mar Adrias of PSME-Qatar in a closely contested match.

The championship match proved to be an exciting and highly competitive showdown between Engr. Van Jasper P. Ladislao of PICE-Qatar and Engr. Alvin Alanguilan of NAMPAP-Qatar. In a thrilling race-to-5 final, Engr. Ladislao emerged victorious with a narrow 5–4 win, securing the title of 2026 PPOQ Billiards Tournament Champion.

2026 PPOQ BILLIARDS TOURNAMENT WINNERS

Champion: Engr. Van Jasper P. Ladislao — PICE-Qatar
1st Runner-Up: Engr. Alvin Alanguilan — NAMPAP-Qatar
2nd Runner-Up: Engr. Joseph Mar Adrias — PSME-Qatar
3rd Runner-Up: Engr. Tata Maricol — PSME-Qatar

The successful tournament was organized by IIEE-SQC’s P*E Batch 15, led by Engr. Antonio T. Agcaoili, 2026 Vice President for External Affairs, together with Engr. Richard S. Villanueva, Engr. Marivic C. Araneta and Engr. Oliver Cromwell R. Obguia. The event was also supported by Engr. Ralyn Manalastas Jr. of P*E Batch 18, together with members and families of P*E Batch 15, whose active participation and support contributed significantly to the success of the gathering.

On behalf of PPOQ-Qatar and IIEE-SQC, we extend our sincere appreciation to all participating organizations, players, officers, volunteers, supporters, and guests who contributed to making the PPOQ Billiards Tournament 2026 a memorable and successful event.

Congratulations to all the winners and participants! Your outstanding skill, exceptional sportsmanship, and remarkable performance made this tournament truly electrifying.
