We are delighted to announce that Prof. Ivan Ninov, Executive Dean of ARIU, has been elected Vice President of EMEA CHRIE following the 2026 elections! 👏🎊

EMEA CHRIE is the premier professional association of hospitality, tourism, and event management educators spanning Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

As Vice President, Prof. Ninov will help guide the strategic direction of the association and support its mission of advancing hospitality and tourism education across the region and beyond.

During his appointment, he will become President of EMEA CHRIE in 2027 and then Immediate Past President in 2028.

This achievement is an important milestone for ARIU, reflecting our institution’s commitment to academic excellence, industry engagement, and global leadership in hospitality and tourism education.

ARIU continues to prepare successful alumni. Congratulations to ARIU alumnus Faruk Mohammad Azad on graduating from the Qatar Leadership Center’s Executive Master’s in Leadership Program!

Some of our Tourism, Hospitality, and Event Management students visited Katara Cultural Village to learn how it designs and manages visitor experiences. The visit supported experiential learning in the Consumer Behaviour, Service Experience Co-creation, and Event Management modules. Students attended an interactive presentation on the village and toured the Katara Opera House, Drama Theatre, and Al Thuraya Planetarium.

Our recent get-together brought the ARIU community together beyond the classroom to share ideas, build friendships, and enjoy a vibrant student experience. Moments like these reflect what ARIU is all about an engaging campus life that goes beyond academics and creates lasting connections.

The visit included productive discussions on potential areas of collaboration, including welcoming students from Turkmenistan to study at ARIU, as well as internship and research opportunities.
