The Countdown Has Started… But One of Us Isn’t Quite Ready 🥹🎒

The countdown to a very big little milestone has officially started… 🥹🎒🤍

Every day it feels a little more real.

The tiny backpack is ready. The excitement is growing. And somehow, our little boy seems completely prepared for this new adventure.

Meanwhile, these days are suddenly filled with extra hugs, little kisses and those unexpected “I love you, Mommy” moments that make time feel like it’s moving far too quickly. 🥺

Watching your child become ready for the next chapter is such a beautiful feeling… but nobody really prepares you for everything a parent feels along the way.

First school journey… almost here. 🎒🤍

We Thought the School Fee Was the Expensive Part… 😂💸

First-time school parents really enter this journey with confidence. 😌

School fee paid. Registration done. Everything sorted.

Daddy was already celebrating like we had survived the expensive part. 😂

Then Mommy casually said the most dangerous sentence a dad can hear:

“We just need a few things.”

Daddy: “Okay!” 😌

That confidence did NOT last very long. 😭💸

Meanwhile, Myat was having the time of his life and somehow kept finding “one more thing.” 😂

Parents… please tell us this happens to everyone when school starts! 🎒😂❤️

We Were SO Nervous About His First School Visit… 🥹🎒

We had been thinking about this day for such a long time. 🥹🎒

Is he too young? Will he feel comfortable? Will he communicate well? Will he need us beside him?

As parents raising a bilingual toddler away from our home country, these little questions somehow became BIG worries. ❤️

So before his school observation, Mommy may have given the teacher a few warnings… 😂

We thought we knew exactly how our little boy would react in a completely new environment.

Apparently, parenting likes to remind us that toddlers don’t always follow the script. 😂❤️

First school journey officially begins! 🎒🥹

We Hid Everything From Myat… Until It Backfired 😂

We thought we had this parenting thing completely under control. 😂

Once you have a curious toddler, suddenly EVERYTHING needs a “safe place.” Higher shelf? Better hiding spot? Somewhere he’ll never find it? Done. 😎

Mommy and Daddy were getting way too confident with our little system… until one normal day, things started going very wrong. 😭😂

And somehow, while the adults were slowly losing control, Myat was the calmest person in the entire house. 👶🏻

Parents… please tell us we’re not the only ones! 😂

Daddy Really Thought This Was a Good Idea… 👀😂

The confidence Daddy had at the beginning… 😂

He had a tiny plan, found the perfect little partner, and genuinely believed everything was completely under control. 👀

For a few seconds, it actually looked like he might pull it off.

But when you involve a toddler in your plan, things can become unpredictable VERY quickly. 😂

The serious little faces, the suspicious silence, and Daddy slowly realizing he may have made a terrible decision absolutely sent me. 😭❤️

Parents, be honest—would you ever trust your toddler with a secret? 😂👇

Everyone Fell Asleep So Peacefully… Then the Night Began. 😂❤️

Everyone looked so comfortable that I really thought we were going to have a peaceful night.

Daddy was sleeping perfectly.
Myat was sleeping like an angel.
Mommy finally closed her eyes.

For a few beautiful minutes, everything was exactly where it should be.

Then sometime in the middle of the night… things slowly started changing. 😭😂

One tiny movement at a time.

And somehow, the two people who slept the most peacefully woke up VERY refreshed the next morning.

Mommy, however… had experienced a completely different night. 😂😭

Parents who sleep with a toddler—you already know. ❤️

Who takes up the most space in your bed? 😂👇

For Almost 3 Years, I Wondered If I Was Losing Myself…

For almost three years, one question kept coming back to me…

Motherhood changed so much of who I used to be.

People see my little boy’s confidence, the way he communicates, and how comfortably he connects with others. What they don’t see are the thousands of ordinary moments behind it—the conversations, listening, patience, encouragement, and simply being there every day.

For a while, I wondered if standing in the background meant I was losing myself.

But maybe these weren’t years I lost.

Maybe while I was helping him grow, I was becoming someone new too. 🤍

Moms, have you ever felt caught between who you were and who motherhood is making you? 🥺👇

The bed was HUGE… but somehow there was still one little problem every time we slept. 😂❤️

We started right in the middle with more than enough room for both of us.

Once Myat fell asleep, I quietly moved over a little.

A few seconds later… he followed me. 😭

So I moved again.

He followed again.

This continued until someone had almost the entire bed… and someone else had approximately 2 inches left. 😂

But the sweetest part? He wasn’t even awake.

No matter how much space he had, somehow he just wanted to feel that Mommy was still beside him. 🥹❤️

Moms who co-sleep… PLEASE tell me I’m not the only one. 😂👇

I Pretended to Give Up… Then I Saw His Face Change. 🥺

It started as a completely normal moment on the floor with Myat.

We were playing together when I decided to do something a little different.

At first, he seemed completely focused on what he was doing.

So I tried again.

And for a moment, I honestly thought he hadn’t noticed anything.

Then he suddenly stopped playing.

He looked at me differently, watched what I was doing, and the whole mood changed.

Sometimes the smallest everyday moments show you just how much toddlers are actually noticing. 🥺❤️

What do you think he did next? 👇

I Said NO… Then My Toddler Came Up With a New Plan 😂

I thought saying “no more snacks” would be the end of the conversation.

Apparently, I seriously underestimated toddler determination. 😂

Myat accepted my answer, quietly walked away, and for one peaceful minute… I thought I had won.

Then the house got suspiciously quiet.

A little later, he came back with a completely new strategy—and acted like our first conversation had never happened. 😭😂

The confidence. The toddler logic. The negotiation skills.

I honestly couldn’t even stay serious.

Parents, what’s the funniest thing your toddler has done after you said NO? 😂👇
