ICMP
ICMP or internet control message protocol give us the privilege to know about our nrtwork and errors in it , IP doesn’t tell us if a host host is reachable or not so they come up with ICMP.

In some cases ICMP is not allowed within a network because experts see it as a way to tell informations to unwanted users so for example they implement ACLs to clock it and so, ICMP exist in ipv4 and ipv6 .
