with the cones rolled and paste ready, only one thing was left to do, henna!!!
this design is a hennackg design. I'm assuming this design has Moroccan roots..anyhow, i loveed the symmetry play and definItely needed to try it out!
1)the first picture with my paste on, and it was left on for almost 12 hours think. give or take a few hours..
2)the second picture was immediately after paste removal. you can see how promising the stain looks!
3)the third picture is the mature stain on the second day after removing my paste!
it turned jet black!! i was so happy! I've never had black stains, at least not often as i was told i have a rather cool body and hence my stains wouldn't blacken.. can you imagine my joy!?😂
however,
the stain developed beautifully, i believe, is because of three reasons:
1) good quality input
2) leaving the paste on for at least longer than 6 hours.
3)good aftercare (that is, taking care of your henna after you have removed your paste)

These are my latest cones😂♥️👀
The material , i have no clue as to how
To describe, i stiff enough to hold its shape yet not thick to the extend that it will uncurl itself the instant you let go..
The cones were easier to make with this material and honestly, i think everybody has to get their hands on one material, make some cones, judge it and then hunt for thicker or thinner versions based on their experience with their first cones🧐😎.
Thts how i did and it is definetly a learning experience too!♥️♥️

After having my henna powder resource depleted and having done henna from the salon-cone, i became Desperate to restock..
after one failed attempt on my side to get my henna powders , we tried another time and voila! It worked! The beautiful parcel arrived with 5 packets of henna powder each weighing 100 grams♥️ The packets came in these shiny aluminium looking ziplocks to store the powder once they were opened♥️
The juicy part: 😂 i purchased these from hennabydevakysdharan, who is based in kerala. She too sells henna powders and cones and even takes bridals! Her work is amazing guys! Check out her instagram
Page !!♥️♥️
I have no idea who in qatar sells homemade cones or even quality henna powders.so my only options were to get them from india and have a friend bring them over🙈. There definetly many online resources but they are mostly based in U.S and having the items shipped almost across the globe will cost me much more than the henna actually Does🤷🏻♀️
This was and is the best deal so far..😉💃🏻

This was the trial design i did on myself with zahra’shenna ones♥️ And the stain! I must say this was the after removal stain and the stain developed quite impressively over the next few days and stated intact even!
There are two take away lessons from here:
1) good quality input always pays off ♥️
2) storing your henna cones in the freezer nearly pauses it demise ♥️
Side note: always store your cones in the freezer and it last ur cones up to 6 months!🤩

Alright! This cone right here is a cone that i purchased during my vacation (thanks to my uncle for helping me find my way) from a local artist in chennai, tamil nadu. She is based there and sells henna cones and powders♥️ I purchased a box of 5 cones and you can imagine how dear to me it was! It was my forst ever cone that was purchased online on a personal level from a budding entrepreneur!♥️ I used them and even bought them back home to doha and stored them in my freezer😂(obsession levels😂)
So the other day i checked my freezer and found this darling and sonce i didnt have any stash of powders, i decided to doodle on myself to see how it held up🤷🏻♀️
I was blown.away!♥️ The consistency was exactly how i remembered it to be when it was fresh and it floweddd so beautifully♥️ So for those of you in india, i would still recommend you zahras henna, check her out in instagram for more details👀♥️

Dear followers,
This was my leaving”stain”. Unfortunate enough it didnt look natural! It got rough and peeled away like the chemical ones💔.
Be aware that natural henna FADES. It slowly receded in colour until its no more..not prel off of your skim..if this happens, chances are tht there is something more that powder, oil and water/lemon juice..
What to do: find out local henna artists who use natural henna paste and purchase from them.
Or make your own! There are plenty of quality resources available! Feel free to message me if you need any help!♥️

This is the design i went overboard with 🤗.
Heavily inspired by hennackg♥️ She had just one piece on but one wasnt enough for me and i jumped to two😂. This was my obsession level😂
Anyways, jumpong to details, the hennacone was from a salon nearby as i didnt have any powders left at.all. To make natural paste!💔 you can the stain and how dark it got in my inner arm🤔
