What does it take to build a future-ready workforce?
Our recent roundtable with the AI Education Forum brought together leaders from education, industry, technology, and government to explore exactly that how the UAE can move beyond identifying skills gaps and toward building practical pathways from learning to employment.
At AGF, we believe the future of workforce readiness will be shaped not by any single organization, but through collective action across the ecosystem.

هذا ما بحثته طاولتنا المستديرة الأخيرة مع "منتدى تعليم الذكاء الاصطناعي" (AI Education Forum)، والتي ضمّت قادة من مجالات التعليم، والصناعة، والتكنولوجيا، والحكومة، لاستكشاف سبل انتقال دولة الإمارات من رصد فجوات المهارات إلى ابتكار مسارات عمليّة تربط التعلّم بالتوظيف.

من التدريب إلى التحوّل الحقيقي، قصة نجاح من قلب محافظة جرش
ثلاثة أيام في الأردن شهدت محطات ملهمة، حيث التقت الدكتورة سونيا بن جعفر، الرئيسة التنفيذية لمؤسسة عبد الله الغرير، بالشاب أحمد، أحد خريجي “صندوق تعليم اللاجئين”. وقد استطاع أحمد توظيف التدريب والتأهيل الذي حصل عليه لإعادة الحياة إلى مخبز عائلته الذي ظل مغلقاً لسنوات.
قصة أحمد دليل حي على الآفاق الواعدة التي يفتحها التعلّم القائم على المهارات عندما يلتقي بالدعم والفرص المواتية ليعيد صياغة الواقع الاقتصادي للأفراد.
From training to transformation, and back to life in Jerash.
During her visit to Jordan, our CEO Dr. Sonia Ben Jaafar met Ahmed, a Refugee Education Fund graduate who used his training to reopen his family’s bakery after years of closure.
His story reflects what skills-based learning can unlock when paired with opportunity and support.

شهد “تحدي طلاب تكوين الغرير” الأول من نوعه اجتماع الطلاب من جميع الإمارات السبع، لتقديم حلول يقودها الشباب من أجل بناء مستقبل أكثر استدامة.
وقد تولّت مؤسسة عبد الله الغرير قيادة هذا التحدي من خلال برنامجها “تكوين الغرير” حيث استقطب التحدي مشاركة أكثر من 100 فريق، وتأهل 16 فريقاً منها للمرحلة النهائية لتقديم مشاريعهم تحت محوري “تكنولوجيات الفضاء لمستقبل أكثر خضاراً” و”بناء مجتمعات مستدامة”.

Students from across the seven emirates came together for the first-ever Takween Al Ghurair Student Challenge, showcasing youth-led solutions for a more sustainable future.
Led by the Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation through Takween Al Ghurair, the challenge attracted 100+ team submissions, with 16 finalist teams presenting projects under “Space Technologies for a Greener Future” and “Building Sustainable Communities.”

What happens after the funding ends?
In her latest SSIR article, Dr. Sonia Ben Jaafar explains why some impact lasts and some fades: the funding that endures builds something inside an institution, not next to it.
The Abdulla Al Ghurair Hub at AUB is proof, now self-sustaining and growing across the university.
The most lasting impact isn’t what we fund. It’s what stays.
عند تصميم حلولٍ للمستقبل، ينبغي أن يكون للشباب مقعد على طاولة اتخاذ القرار. لذلك، قمنا بتأسيس مجلس الغرير الاستشاري للشباب في عام 2022. وفي جلستهم الأخيرة، التقى أعضاء المجلس لتبادل الآراء حول المبادرات القادمة، وتحديد الأولويات الرئيسية، واستكشاف كيف يمكنهم المساهمة. ومستقبلاً، سنواصل العمل معاً مع شبابنا لرسم ملامح المرحلة القادمة.
When we're designing solutions for the future, young people should have a seat at the table. That's why we established the Youth Advisory Council in 2022. In their latest session, the council came together to share perspectives on upcoming initiatives, identify key priorities and discover how they can contribute. Moving forward, we will continue to work together with our youth to shape what is next.
