** Markaz Al Bahja Rapid Chess Tournament **

The Markaz Al Bahja Rapid Chess Tournament took place on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Markaz Al Bahja Mall. Organized by the International Chess Academy of Oman, the event was led by President Ameer Abdullah Al Raisi, Tournament Director International Master Ismail Karim, International Arbiter Ruqayya Al Balushi, and multiple-time Women’s National representative Afraa Al Balushi.

The tournament was honored by the presence of Mr. Prashant Dutt, General Manager of Markaz Al Bahja Mall, who showed great support for the chess community and this exciting event.

Congratulations to all the participants for their remarkable skill and determination, and a heartfelt thank you to the parents for their support and patience throughout the day!

Congratulations to my longtime student, Shreyas Seshadri Nallore, for reaching a rating of 2302 and earning the title of FIDE Master!

Shreyas joined the Academy in 2015, and it has always been wonderful to see him help and share his knowledge with others.

Balancing studies, chess training, and traveling to international competitions is no easy task, and for that, I would like to thank his parents for their sacrifices and dedication.
